Title: How do I get my monster to Boston?
Post by: Jeremy on March 26, 2009, 08:05:26 PM
Hey everyone - just thought I'd introduce myself. Wifey got a transfer, so we're moving to Boston just in time for riding season. And, although I'll be looking for a job, that's not my priority right now. I'm in Michigan, but my bike is in San Fran (it was a nice summer...) and I wanted to know if you guys had shipping recommendations. The people I shipped it to SF with were good, but there was a little scratch and the front forks were weeping from being compressed. I was hoping there was a good dealership around that may be able to help. Obviously, I'd rather ride it the whole way, just don't have the time...

I hope to see you all around!  [moto]

Lots of people have used Forward Air.

When you get to the area look up Clubhouse Motorsports in NH. He's a sponsor here and a great tech and person.

There is only one DIMBY, it happens in a field in NH.  Anywhere else is an imposter, and a travesty.

hi Jeremy
I moved to MA from SF a couple years ago. I shipped my bike though Bevel Heaven - they work with Daily Direct. I had no problems with them - I met the driver at Munroe Motors on Valencia and my bike arrived to my front door without a scratch, forks were fine too.  It took about a month if I remember correctly. It was end of Feb into March, so I think they had hit some bad weather on the way, delaying the trip.
Here's a link to Bevel Heaven -

hope this helps

I've used Allied/Federal three times -- worked out fine, no damage.

See you at MotoMarket -- good jumping off place Sunday mornings.
