awesome, I kinda like that one with the detached head.. .
when and where are you garage saleing? i would love to take a look at what you've got.
Hey Mike, maybe a long shot here, but IvoBivo has got a buddy that make want to part with his 750..he's got a few projects working and he may (or may not) want to let er go....mid seventy's SOHC CB 750 kinda ratty with aspirations of someday becoming cafe' d...but it may be worth a try.....you could always ask....
Good idea Paul. If my friend sells the CB 750 he might get a Monster.
Mike, I know he payed about 2K for it so he might let it go for that much. I'm sure he wont take less than that. I'll talk to him when he gets back in town in a week or so.
Thanks for lookin out fellas and let me know bout that 750 [thumbsup]
i went and looked at an 81 from craigslist and i'm pretty sold on goin for a cb 750. sadly that one didn't fire. it turned over but also had a leak in the gas tank and some decent amount of rust on parts of the frame. looked like more work than i am after. i mean it's gotta at least run wouldn't you think?
i'll make a post on the garage sale when i make it happen. thanks for the inquiry

Yea - in that shape they should be offering to pay you to haul it off.
I guess you sold your Huski?
Nope! not yet anyways. it's soo hard to let that thing go. of course if i can get something lined up to replace it I bet it'll be a lot easier to sell it.
I'm also interested in 78-82 goldwings. yea you read that right. naked goldwings can be gorgeous. like this one: [evil]

thanks joe, i keep scourin htown dallas s.a and austin craigslists daily and have seen those. i have a line on one in plano i need to take a look at or if someone is available to run over and check it out for me that'd be a lot easier since thats about a 6 hr round trip. also have one in san antonio to take a look at.
Here is living proof that selling your Monster and buying a Husky SM diments your mind!!! J/K...a GoldWing? Dude, take a step back!!! 8)
I'm sure what ever you use as a pallette will be pregnant dogen when you're done... [thumbsup]
what happened to your TR4 route Paul? FX pull your card?
Mike, I just want to toss back an entire bottle of rat poison...the Evil Empire has taken over and just mowing all of us.........it's sick....no repect...People First? Yeah right, that's why it's down on the bottom of the propaganda posters now!!
But hey, I know-you know-what I know!!!
That 94 M900 is still for sale, saw it yesterday......it's pretty straight, just runs on 1....you can probably steal it dude....check the pics here:

that thing sounds like more of a basket case than i'm looking for. 94 was the first year they imported the monster correct? i remember reading something about header bolts shearing/snapping on that particular year of 900s.
Actually i didn't hear much about the Freight team other than the initial takeover, guess the Dell thing is spreading in Austin...
Hey Mike, did you see these on Austin Craig's list?

Also, there is a guy in South Austin who has a shop on Goodrich just off of S. Lamar between Oltorf and Bluebonnet. The name of the shop is Acme Cyclewerks (there's no sign) and the guy's name is Mike. He's done a lot of CB 750's so he might be able to get you one cheap.
Sweet find on the 550 that thing looks cherry. the other one has been gettin spammed a lot every day, i'm tired of seeing that one. i think he's a little high at 1900 for a 550 though.
thanks bud!

Yea, NADA says that bike is worth $700 in good condition.
That's the problem with Craig's list. 90% of the bike ads are the same repeats over and over of bikes that are way overpriced and will never sell. When a reasonable deal comes along, you better have cash in hand because it will go quick.
