Anyone wearing the new Dainese Air Mesh jacket? Looks like it may be the ticket for summer here in Florida.
I have one and and would recommend it...the ventilation is excellent.
If it's the one I just saw for $199 at my local dealer, it's a pretty nice jacket. There's nothing low-key about it, though.
Love it. Excellent jacket. Very cool.
I too was excited about that air 2 jacket when I saw it on the Dainese web site, but then I found out that it does not have a liner and began to look for something else.
I have the rev'it air jacket and it is perfect for the hot summers here in Cali. but also with no liner makes it impractical for this time of the year when its cold in the mornings, looking to get rid of it also.
I would not like to have a third jacket to fill-in the between the seasons of hot and cold, My collection of crappy, beginner, and ill-fitting, poor local selection gear is beginning to over flow my closet.
To compliment my Dainese leather jacket, I'm looking for a Dainese mesh jacket with a removable windproof liner. Wanting the same brand because the pant/jacket attaching zippers will match.
I currently have a Dainese Zen jacket that is perfed, it works perfect in Florida for winter except on our coldest days. I agree that a windproof liner would be a nice addition to the mesh jacket.

The Zen tex was the next jacket I was looking at. There is supposedly a new wind proof liner that will work for that jacket.
I have the Ducati Summer-Tech. Great for use here in Florida except for the coldest days. I have a fieldsheer jacket with a liner that is used for
those rides.
I run the Dainese Air Flux Mesh for the hot summer days in LA and I love it. Flows air really well without making me feel like I'm compromising the quality of protection.
In South Florida when it gets above 95 degrees 100% humidity even the most perf leather jacket will become a sauna.

Here you go! http://www.dainese.com/us_en/motorbike/g-d-system-d-dry.html?gender=2&destinazione_uso=44&cat=12&subcat=15 (http://www.dainese.com/us_en/motorbike/g-d-system-d-dry.html?gender=2&destinazione_uso=44&cat=12&subcat=15)
This is called the System D-Dry jacket. It is a Cordura textile jacket with a removable, zip-out D-Dry waterproof liner and extensive venting along the shoulders, sides and along the entire length of your arms. With the liner in and vents closed, it will deal with all but the most chilly of California nights, but remove the liner and open the vents and you are ready for Death Valley. Very cool jacket that we are happy to have had a hand in designing.
ugh why couldn't that d-system jacket have been available last year when I bought m D-Dry gear??? Never ending money pit [cheeky]
The DAINESE 'D-System D-Dry' Jacket (http://www.motowheels.com/italian/myproducts.cfm?parentcategoryid=1031%7CDainese&productID=6939&showDetail=1&categoryID=788%7CDainese%20Textile%20Jackets%3A%20Mens&vendoridtodisplay=0&filterFor=&collection=1030%7CApparel%20%26%20Riding%20Gear) is the best all around use Dainese jacket that I have seen.
They did a good job with this one. The guys at the shop cummute on this jacket.
I like the DAINESE 'Air 2 tex' Jacket (http://www.motowheels.com/italian/myproducts.cfm?parentcategoryid=1031%7CDainese&productID=6821&showDetail=1&categoryID=788%7CDainese%20Textile%20Jackets%3A%20Mens&vendoridtodisplay=0&filterFor=&collection=1030%7CApparel%20%26%20Riding%20Gear) on very hot days but I prefer the DAINESE "Delmar Perforated" Jacket (http://www.motowheels.com/italian/myproducts.cfm?parentcategoryid=1031%7CDainese&productID=6136&showDetail=1&categoryID=776%7CDainese%20Leather%20Jackets%3A%20Mens&vendoridtodisplay=0&filterFor=&collection=1030%7CApparel%20%26%20Riding%20Gear) for the protection for riding up in the hills. The bubble liner allows the air to move through the jacket.

I like my RevIt air, but I don't wear it this time of year. We might see the upper 70s for the first time this year this weekend, so I only break out the air when it's really hot outside. For mornings, I layer a couple under the jacket.
You can always rock one of these. Can't get better ventilation than that. 8)
You just end up with a funny tan after wearing it a while. :P

Well I purchased the Dainese Zen Tex jacket today. I tried on several jackets and decided that it was a better choice for my needs. Will give you a full report later this week.
Review of Zen-Tex: I suited up for my 12 mile commute to work this morning at 7AM is was in the mid-60's here in central Florida. Pulling out of the driveway I immediately noticed the ventilation, when up to 35mph it was like wearing a t-shirt!! I had to look down to see if the jacket was zipped. At lunch the temp was 90 degrees with about 40% humidity a little warmer than normal for May. The jacket performed wonderful even in stop and go traffic it was very comfortable. In my opinion the only thing I might change is the color from black to something that soaks up less heat from the sun. Overall a very comfortable and safe feeling jacket for the heat.

Thanks Beck Dolph, :)
got the zen tex today from moto wheels, its very light has shoulder pads and elbow pads and has a pocket for the back protector..
again it is VERY light but looks to be made well. I have not took a ride in it as it is still sort of cold here, but I imagine for 80+ days this jacket would be perfect, better then a t shirt anyway.. ill let you know how it is in the heat, but so far its nice and comfy.. fits true to size as well.
