Does anybody know the difference between the two? Both use the same logo. Only difference is a ".com" vice a ".net" OZ versions are much more expensive. US Version only offers jeans and says "Made in the US." Are they related? The OZ version uses Knox armor. US uses SaS-Tec. Aerostich offers the US version on their site.
Draggin Jeans out of NC (http://www.dragginjeans.com)
Draggin Jeans out of OZ (http://www.dragginjeans.net/)
Or, can somebody suggest an alternative? I plan on wearing shin guard inserts (either other company or "come with").
They'll be used for daily "city" wear. Speeds generally not to exceed 60mph.
Thanks
I might be wrong but I think I read this somewhere.. The Draggin Jeans out of Australia has more kevlar coverage than the jeans from North Carolina, US.
Are you fixated on jeans or would you be willing to wear other fabrics? I too am a slow poke. [beer] [moto]
mainly looking at jeans. I've got overpants with protection. And, plan on leather pants in a 2 piece suit.
The US one started out as a branch of the Oz company. From what I hear the Oz stuff is much higher quality and overall better. I also recall something about pads. I can't remember if the Oz stuff came w/ pads or if they used better pads than the US version or what it was exactly but simply put, go OZ and ignore the US stuff. It's the worth the difference in price from what I hear but I have no FHE.
Knee protecors in jeans will most likely not stay in place if you need them too. You might be safer with knee guards strapped to your legs, under or over the jeans.
I bought Shift jeans for $70 and knee guards for $14 at MotoStrano. From what I can tell the protection is as good as with the Draggin. My 0.02.

+1, as far as what I've read... I bought the aussie ones anyway, they came w/knox armor and I've been rather happy w/them
Might also check out Hood Jeans from the UK. Well made, lots of Kevlar (woven or knitted), and Knox armor (armour, actually). Nice folks too.

on this set up I have the Bionic knee gaurds. Also bought at motostano. FYG - they only fit under the baggier jeans - like the shifts.
I have the Aussie jeans, and they're okay. I don't know that they're worth the price-- there are quite a few other jean options available for less.
I love the chinos, though!
I had a pair of the Aussi Draggin Jeans.
They actually wore out faster just by wearing them than Standard Levi Jeans so buyer beware.

Mine are a bit faded from all the sun/exposure, but the denim itself is still pretty solid. I've had them for a few years, now...
