So I called something like 8 or 10 companies, trying to get insurance. All the big names and several companies I had never heard of before. Apparently Texas has been "re-evaluated" and rates have been upped. Combined with a crash I had back in July My average rate was 120.00 a month for my 2007 S4R T. The lowest I found was 96.00 a month. Then a friend passed me this guys info:
Russell Foreman - Farmers Insurance
817-966-5753
rforeman@farmersagent.com
I didn't call him for a while because Farmers is usually murder on prices but eventually I called him and he got me full coverage for less a month then I was paying with progressive before the crash last year. I'm literally paying 50 bucks less a month with this guy then with anyone else. So now I'm telling all my Motorcycles buddies about him. If you call him, Tell him Wade from Lubbock recommended him.

Did you check with Dairyland? They've been great for me throughtout this ordeal - paying about $200 a year for full coverage for the ST3 - a little bit less than the FJR was - $250 deductible too - they also have a bit higher standard coverage for aftermarket parts too and rental is included in that price.

I'd also check with Foremost, ducatiforemost.com which is the one I use, they have a special deal with DNA and classify all Ducatis as one class lower i.e. monster is touring ;)
Foremost is the Farmers brand for motorcycles.
I switched to Foremost a coupla years ago. It's a LOT cheaper than the State Farm I had, & better coverage...
I called Dairyland and Foremost. I posted a blog in the main form a while back asking who people got their insurance from as Progressive was trying to screw me, I called every company I could find.. Ducati Foremost was the cheapest at 96 bucks a month. But he still beat it by a large amount going through Foremost.
I've had this experience before, sometimes it's cheaper to use a rep, sometimes it's cheaper to go straight through the company.
Anyway I'm riding because of this guy, so I'm telling everyone to give him a call.
I checked the Foremost website for a quote on my new bike, since they are supposed to be Duc friendly. I would have needed a govt. bailout to pay their rate, so I hotfooted it straight back to State Farm.

GEICO is cheap. Don't know how you stayed with State Farm, they wanted my first born. I will say that the Foremost/Duc partnership is a rip-off, at least the quote they gave me.

max coverage on foremost for my monster was $780/year... Progressive (my cars insurer) wanted $1800 and GEICO $1450.. how's that for rip off ? :)

they must know you well then and clocked you down the tollway. never heard of anyone getting those rates from GEICO. then again I have a long driving history and you didn't. :'(
Geico and progressive sucked for me too, rate-wise
Yeah, I didn't have much fun with geico when I had my monster. However, I did have allstate when I had my 996...I paid $200 something for the entire year for basic coverage.
Dunno about the foremost partenership with DNA, but dairyland is a hell of a deal.
just a note: rusell foreman's phone number is actually 817-966-5754
called russell at the proper number. he quoted me a rate $130 less than dairyland for more coverage.
