I though we could start a thread on the road conditions around the tri-state region. Please use a :) or a >:( in the beginning as a short hand!

Bear Mountain is freshly repaved and it is a beautifully done ribbon of tarmac. It almost makes it too easy without all the bumps and niggles robbing traction.
what about that path right of tee-a-radi. (how the hell do u spell that?) is that repaved too?

I think you mean Arden Valley Road. It's the road between Tiorati circle and Route 17. That road is not repaved (...yet ?) and it's terribly bumpy for the most part. I rode through there yesterday to see if they repaved it as well but no good.
:-\
any news on if 106 has been re-opened yet?
I miss that road and hope that it'll be done in time for us to enjoy it again this year.
Also any chance that they've done resurfacing on 17a going over the mountain from Greenwood Lake to Sterling Forest?
The tar patch snakes there ruin the ride over the mountain for me and some nice new pavement tehre would be fantastic.

has anyone ventured onto 97 lately? it's that road that runs along the "delaware water gap" that starts in port jervis.
the last time i rode it was about 3 yrs ago. the road was nice and twisty but very bumpy. i'm wondering if it's been repaved recently???

Houston St. (NYC) is all fixed up!
bull shit! they finished it? i havent crossed that area in 6 months now, before that it was horrible riding over wood. every freaking day
Morning glory problems huh? ;D
im still young enough to have that "problem" ;D
:) NJ CR-629: Fresh tarmac!
:) NY HWY 23: good condition
:-\ NJ Clinton Rd: tarmac in reasonable condition, but quite faded, making it hard to see the white border lines with all the lights and shadows thru the trees. Some gravel on shoulder. Couple of potholes.
Cracked the oil pan on my car on 63rd st. just after 3rd Ave >:(
theres about 3 massive ridges on my way home that im always afraid of going down on, ive contact 311 about it but it doesnt seem like their gonna do anything...
1) between 135 and 125th street on the FDR southbound
2) Left turn on the south bound FDR ~34th street,
3) on the BQE toward the verrizano when it goes from ground level to a highway.
they are about 3-5 inches tall and 3-4 inches wide.
hope you can get that fixed by the city howie, stuff like that is complete BS since the city is always " in a state of repair" but nothing actually gets done.
I will file a claim as soon as the damages are totaled. One of the grated blocks had a sign "NO PARKING STREET GRATING TOMORROW". In this city they grate up a block and it doesn't get repaved for weeks. Then Con Ed or whomever digs a trench through it.

CR-106: West half still closed >:(
