Title: Anyone riding with the TCX Competizione RS Racing Boots ?
Post by: DoubleEagle on April 22, 2009, 09:28:59 PM
I just bought a pair and I like them very much except for one aspect and that is they keep slipping of the knurled pegs on my 1098R.

The problem seems to originate with the instep of the boots, also the soles seem very slippery.

I wear size 14s and have to angle my feet out at about 45 degrees just to be able to be somewhat comfortable on the bike.

I'm 6'5", 248 lbs.with very Arthritic Knees .

I have worn mostly Alpine * SMX Racing Plus , Sidi B-2s and BMW Racing Boots.

I know you are supposed to ride on the balls of your feet but my Knees can't take it so I ride with my feet turned out somewhat.

No problem with the other Boots I've mentioned.

The instep is smooth and the soles are very slick. How can I make these Boots work ?              Dolph

The white area in the instep is cut at a 90 degree angle, my foot is turned our some and laying flat against the flat white surface at about a 45 degree angle.

I need to some how get adhesion on that flat white piece and the soles since I can't ride with the boot straight up and down constantly and when I don't ,my foot slides off the peg like the peg was Ice.
