Title: New guy Second Monster
Post by: RockyMtnMonster on May 07, 2009, 10:49:29 AM
Hi all,

I just made arrangements to pick up a 94 or 95 M900 from a buddy of mine [thumbsup] who just went out and got a HD. I'm not sure why.  ???

any way this is the first Ducati i ever rode, back in 2000 which prompted me to get one of my own, a 2001 M900s ie RED. I had her for about 2 years and had to sell her due to money problems back then. So when my buddy told me he was looking to sell his Monster my emotions got the better of me. it needs quit a bit of work, top end needs to be rebuilt, the carbs need to be cleaned and/or rebuilt. It needs a new seat or I could have it re-covered. I'm hoping to be able to do a lot of the work my self. we shall see.

I might go the route of the 944 kit and bigger jets or bigger carbs if they are out there. Any tips, tricks, or suggestions, would be very welcome.

as soon as i get some Pics i will post them.

Oh, i also have a o4 Multistrada 1000DS.  Lot of fun

Wow, definitely his loss, but your gain!  [thumbsup]  I find the folks on the DMF site very helpful with suggestions AND parts. I've bought all of my own rebuild parts from DMF members.   [thumbsup] Definitely post some pictures of your bike as you rebuild/transform it and welcome aboard!!  [beer]
