Title: Tech Session IV
Post by: bullethead on May 08, 2009, 02:57:20 PM
The date options are the 23rd, 30th and 6th post the dates that won't work for you. The subjects mentioned are Valves and Belt(these go together) or Breaks, Breaks and Clutch bleeding, and fluids. These should work out in time wise. Post which of these you like or the subjects you want to see that are not up here.

I'll be gone on the 23rd. the 30th and the 6th would work well for me.

I'd like Valves and Belts.

Any of those dates work for me, I think.

Belts/valves - I'll go and would like to see, but I honestly don't anticipate doing my own.  That might change after watching, though.
Brakes/Clutch - Definite interest.
Controls(grips, handlebars, levers, resovoirs, cables...) - definite interest.
Carbs - Yup.  Always good to pick up things carb related.  I don't currently own anything with a carb other than my mower, but that will change!  ;)

I have calscrazy on the other board interested in valves and belts but not available until the 13th. Is that too far out or bad for anyone else? That would put it at Five people interested in this class and that is minimum. I would still have to check that date with Stuart but lets sort the timing and the subject on this end first.

alexisonfire
Reducs
calscrazy
Duc L'Smart(from the other post Have to check with him to be sure)

I'd be interested in belts and valves if it is on the 23rd or 30th (can 6th as well if the session is over by 4 PM or so).  I have an S2R800 w/ 27,000+ miles on it that need the belts changed and the valves might need adjusting (never had the 24K service done).  I am willing to pay more than the $50 per session if I can learn and get the bike serviced at the same time if it works out.

Thanks,

Swanny

Stuart has an issue with the 13th so its not an option. He is trying to clear his weekend Schedule for June if he can. So I think this one is nailed down.

Belts and Valves
May 30th 9am-1pm
Rust Restoration (AKA Stuarts)
$50

I have:
alexisonfire
ato memphis
swanny
Reducs

We need one more person to confirm they are in for this to make. Please let me know if there are any issues with this.

Kirk's first post up says 9am.  I haven't heard anything about a time change.

Burgers afterwards?
Title: Re: Tech Session IV
Post by: junior varsity on May 29, 2009, 01:33:13 PM
i'm all about some hamburgers - but if i am to partake in burgs, i'll be needing a ride back to the D afterwards - I'm leavin' my bike with Stuart for its 19,000 mi service (err... belated 18,000 mi "birthday") - and my woman can pick me up but something about a hair appointment at 2:30 means i'm leaving mansfield by 1:15ish at the latest.

and no, you don't want a 230 lb male large mammal riding cupcake with you. thus, i may have to do the burger part another time, or midweek.
