Weather should be great for some Nor' Eastie patio time. UJ and I will be riding in, hope to see some other partners in crime. Should still be happy hour with free quesadilla bar through 7:30 [thumbsup]

Sorry, wish I had the right socket size. I do have the rear stands if you need them.
what size was it again? I bought several for the trailer. I'll look when i'm done running appointments today and let you know.
breaking the rear wheel loose was not a metaphor, I picked up a Vespa yesterday that needs a little love

It was this or the streetfighter. The prospect of marriage is already taking its toll.

Oh yeah! Another scooter enthusiast! Give it up man, pics, info, (yr./model/miles etc.). You will love it once you get it up to speed. Congrats. Have to see about meeting in the middle and getting Giannis to ride his too! ;D [laugh]

Tell me if you don't have the correct socket size. I have a few oddball sizes laying around.
one thing about my woman..........she has never said no to any bike. the Streetfighter is still on the horizon but probably not until end of year. The scoot is going to be heavily modified for track use and racing up and down the tollway against the squids. :P
actually, it's a 2001 Vespa, cobalt blue with about 1200 miles on it. believe it or not it was had for $300 off some college kid who is moving home. he laid it down and scraped up the side. plan is to make the engine bigger (next week hopefully) and some nice vinyl stickers to cover up the road rash for now. I want to make it a Ducati Red Vespacedici one day with all the graphics and crap, because WHY NOT?

no way, not until this engine gets some work done and the skins show up to cover the road rash. after that I'm game as this little scoot should move at or around 70 mph
I'm going to use my cruiser for rallies and tow the vespa on this http://roaddogtrailers.com/trailers_RallyWagon.asp (http://roaddogtrailers.com/trailers_RallyWagon.asp) for screwing around the campgrounds and festivities.
A Vespa is for reckless and/or drunk riding as it is impossible to sustain injuries in a scooter related accident. [beer]
It's amazing how many UT kids blaze down the streets at 50 MPH on scooters with no protective gear on. (And yes "blaze" is a homonym here). Bottom line, it's not ok to be an idiot on a scooter. But you already knew that.

Since Muskrat stood us up we had to take a post dinner ride past his place to check out the new track bike...
Great to finally get back out on the bike... and Webspoke showed us some of his new tricks... (yes Virginia, HMs can fly...) and of course we followed right behind him (all landed on wheels...) [moto]
