Where ya located?
lol, sorry about that
im in garland, but work in addison
I live in plano, work in addison.
Where in addison? I see some lunch meet ups in our future. Being in Garland you're probably close enough to join the southern oklahoma crew [cheeky].
...and now you do! ;D Welcome.
alexisonfire: preston & beltline (garland isnt that far, its just 45min w/ normal traffic)
greenohawk69: thanks
Come see us tomorrow night at The Amsterdam Bar near Fair Park for the European Bike Night and swill some brews. [drink]
I live in FW so it's a great chance to get some slab time in.
Wow, live in one part of Big D and work in another part and still takes 45 to and from! Wheeew! too much stress. I work in downtown Dallas and get to work in 25-30mins. The air is also fresher over there. [thumbsup]
because of that drive, I decided to get a bike (therefore my first bike, and now my monster)
Welcome ozzie84! Hope to meet you soon.
I live about 15 min north of DFW airport so I'm not near anyone [laugh] Totally cool with it of corse cos that way it's an adventure no matter where I'm trying to go [moto] Woo-hoo!
Lisa
Welcome! I live near White Rock Lake and don't work anywhere... unfortunately. [bang] Hope to meet you soon! [thumbsup] [drink]

howdy partner, i'm smack dab next to SMU at 75/Southwestern.
duc - thats if i can get it running fine,
im actually thinking about taking it to bmw motos of north dallas, so they can check it out, and tell me what needs to be changed - just dont know how much thats gonna cost.
You've got a bunch of options, I'm learning, in DFW to get the bike checked out.
1 & 2: AMS in Dallas and in Alvarado
3: The BMW Shop you are familiar with
4: Rust Restorations in Mansfield
yeah lunch break was fun :-\
i ended up speeding my way home (making record time) pick up the bike, and riding it...yes i said riding it,
to bmw dealership in plano, wow the transmission is sooooooooooooooo, much smoother than my old buell.
and talked to a couple of ppl, but there was an older guy that was just cool, making small talk and all.
and then got somebody to take me to work....
and now im back here designin some cards for a customer...oh well work is work

get ready to be bikeless for a month or two, for me that place has terrible Duc service. now, if you ride in on a beemer your chances are only two weeks bikeless
Yeah, they had my friend's Triumph for six months. Let me repeat that... SIX MONTHS!! When they said it would finally be ready "next Thursday" he let it go and went the following Saturday afternoon to pick it up and guess what... it was still in pieces! He threw a f#@king fit (rightfully so...) and they stayed late to put it together and guess what again... it stuttered, died and stalled out all the way home. [bang] They eventually took it back and made it run right. But only after almost seven months of doing nothing to it. Hmmmm, just saying. :P True story, I'll give you his phone number.
I still don't know how the hell those guys stay in business. Ducati should have yanked his license long ago after I made my stink and an iron-clad case with my first Monster. Of course it didn't hurt that I walked into Texas Pacific's Group office with a mountain of paperwork there in Fort Worth and sat until the CEO would see me.......Ducati North America gave me $2500 worth of goodies too. Should have kept it all instead of selling it with my old bike.
Ok, now back to riding.
AH CRAP!!!!!! :-[
here we go again with dealership problems

the owner and I almost went to blows shortly after I got my key and not being completely stupid I told him we could discuss it outside his store. he sat there and watched me load the bike and I sat on the trailer calling the dealer asking for him but they kept hanging up on me. Oh how I wish.
[laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [thumbsup]
