Talked to Audrey yesterday. She'll have her famous beef there as well as various track day promoters, leather repair/measurement, Prizes, giveaways, etc. Posers not welcome (said so on the sheet).
(This is not an actual trackday, just called that on the flier for the event at the store)
Anyone else going? I'm gonna try to make it.
For more info, call motoliberty.
Steve
Sidenote: where is motoliberty?
I plugged it into my GPS the other day and arrived at Southwest Superbikes. Was that their old location, or am I missing something?

Motoliberty is on the west side of i35e south of 635 but north of the royal lane exit ramp. so, if you are heading south on 35e, exit royal, turn right and immediately turn right again into the parking lot. Second story of shopping center. going north on 35 i'm not as clear about.

[roll] Some people just don't want to answer the really difficult "poser" questions in life like,
" Does this Dainese tracksuit make me look fat ? "
" Will I look like a
poseur if I wear a party lid helmet on a trackday ? "
" When I wave to other motorcyclists why do they shoot me the finger ? "
" Don't you think it's the dilettantes who give poseurs a bad name ? "
[laugh] ??? [laugh] ??? [cheeky] ??? ;)

That all sounds like a plan, gotta be after my vegas misadventures though, so end of May, beginning of June lunch time shenanigans are in order.

legs and eggs..............I'm in. when?
ahh... being the track addict that I am... i read this as a motor liberty trackday... ie... ML was sponsoring a trackday..
I was thinking.. hmm which track... should i take off work since its a wednesday...
then i saw the info about it...
its a sale event at the store lol.... damnit
Consider me paddling the same canoe - I was wondering what track, but asked where the store was to see what it was all about too. Its not a trackday? (Why not just call it a "sale"?)

No, it is technically not a track day. It is an event at the store. I apoligise I should've clarified and the above post will be modified.
Anyway, Audrey and Crew have been around a long time and have helped out a TON of motorcyclists of all types. I like to help them when I can. They're just good people. So, I'll try to go this wed if I get my Honey-Do List done.
Sorry for the mixup.
Steve

Hey, just because I can't afford to go as often as I'd like, doesn't mean I'm not in a support group as well.
Steve
I'll be there Wednesday....posing with my ST.

So will I, but is it really posing if you've done trackdays on your ST? Should I chance it and put on the track skins and ride up there with no signals/mirrors/lights? I kid of course.

And some other poseur questions:
"Can you help me load my bike on the trailer for the Austin rally?"
"Can I get this in a chrome?"
"Wanna see my tatoo?" (oh, wait, I say that...and I don't even have a tatoo)
"You wouldn't guess she'd be 10 years old and only have 3500 miles on 'er, would ya?"
"Let's ride! How 'bout Starbucks?"

Whoah, easy on the Starbucks bashing, that is my life's blood they serve there. Best black coffee you can get.
Steve
Good time. Saw George, Rick, Scott, Rene(motopia) Keith, Ronr, and a few others. Watched my buddies Damen and Mark do a little bit of MiniMotard racing in the parking lot.

Here's a secret from Starbucks,
Recipe for perfect Starbucks black coffee: Aquire one French Press coffee maker, aquire one coffee grinder, aquire favorite Starbucks whole bean coffee, put water on to boil, grind coffee beans, input required amount of freshly ground coffee into French Press, pour almost-hot fresh water into said vessel, wait 4 minutes, pour perfect coffee into favorite coffee cup, enjoy. A daily ritual for me. ;D
Guess who won the free track day?
That's right free license to fly for yours truly.
Steve

Dang! Did I leave too early again?
Thanks for the pictures. I'll try and stay longer next time. And while I'm at it, getting there on a motorcycle wouldn't hurt either :-)
Did I mention I won a free trackday?
