Hello! I found a post on DesmoTimes about this replacement site for the DML. I post over there occasionally and upon my most recent visit found some disturbing changes. Glad I found you guys!
I was mangeldbug on the DML also, but the name's Kristen. :-*
I started riding in 2005 on a 1981 Honda CB400T. Poor thing was in sad shape, but for only $300 my boyfriend couldnt pass it up. We wrenched on it for many months, which taught me a lot about motorcycles even before I climbed on one. Here are before and after shots:

I took the MSF and after a season of riding, I was scraping pegs on the little CB so I sold it for a nice profit and put a down payment on the bike I really wanted from the beginning - a Monster! It was my favorite color too: Senna. Ive done a LOT to her in the past year with more mods coming. ;D It really is a Sickness...
When I picked her up from the seller:

What she looks like now. (I know, I know, "why in God's name did you get rid of the red wheels?!?!?!?!" lol) Say what you want, I absolutely love the look. The retro blue tank badges were the most recent mod. There was a dent in the tank when I bought it - got the dent fixed by EmpireGP (http://www.empiregp.com/), so why not new badges too? It was really sunny the day I took pics, so the tank got a little washed out.

Flashback to Spring of 2005 two weeks after I took the MSF and got my motorcycle license: I somehow found myself on the track! Friends of ours were involved in the Ohio YSR League and they asked us to come out to watch/participate in a race. I fully intended to be a spectator and watch my boyfriend tear it up since he had raced before, but I caved to peer pressure. I was scared to death and slow as hell, but it was so much fun. All that "look where you want to go" from the MSF didnt really make sense until then. lol - did so many excursions into the grass that first season that many joked I should be racing a John Deere ;) Never crashed though. At the end of that season I bought my own stock YSR50 and really got into learning to go faster and hang off the bike (I crashed a few times then...hehe). I am #116.

My hard work and determination payed off for the 2007 Season and I was the Stock Modified Novice champion and was bumped up to Expert rider status for the next racing season. [moto] [thumbsup] And oh yeah, the boyfriend who got me into riding is now my husband. :) Obviously he was a keeper...
Anyway, thats about it for me. Glad to be here!
Welome. Good looking bike [thumbsup]
Yay! You found us. Welcome and holy leaning off the bike batman! Awesome! [beer]

Man, you got some sweet bikes!
Welcome Kristen, glad you made it over. [thumbsup] I remember some of your racing pictures. Nice work on the Honda, and your Duc is looking sweet! ;D Blue must be your favorite color. ;)

Thanks!
And actually purple is my favorite color, but blue is much easier to color coordinate with for gear (http://www.squidbusters.com/sb/images/smilies/bling.gif)
