Title: PCSing to Schofield in July
Post by: zzilla on May 25, 2009, 01:51:21 PM
Aloha all,

The name's Trey.  Got an '05 S2R 800 dark.  Should be down there in early July, bike soon to follow. Married, no kids.

What kind of beer and  [bacon] do y'all prefer, so once I get there I can stock up?

I've been trolling around for a few months, so I decided that I'd emerge from the shadows today.

Catch you guys on the flip side 8)
-Trey

Aloha Trey ----- Beer should be cold & dark.  You should be getting here right around the time one of our own rotates back from Afganistan. Party on & see you later.

Hey Trey,

Forgot a couple things on the pm you sent.  The grooves on the H2 aren't bad but the paving machine couldn't make the corners.  Every curve has increasing radius joints in the paving.  Mostly okay but a couple have tire biters where the edges have worn off.  Not bad by day but watch out at night esp. in the rain when you don't see them coming.  Also the H2 bridge south of Mililani has lousy steel plates at the front/back sides.  Some plates are missing and the south side comes at you on a curve.

Pineapple road north of Wahiawa has red-dirt mud from the trucks and sometimes on the curves.  Mud can be there on a sunny day when you least expect it.

That's a rap on the downers in the Schofield local.  Gimme a pm when your in.

Aloha DRKWNG,

I'm civilian - 20 year Aiea resident.  My girlfriend lives Pupukea so I cruise H2/North Shore every week.  Sometimes several.  Ducati ride=sex.  No wonder it gets hard everytime I look at  Duc. ;)

Trey hit me on a pm a couple weeks back & I gave him a few insights to the local asphalt.

Red S4RS, Zard L/R high mounts - otherwise mostly stock.  Red/White/Green Vemar hat if ya see me on the street.

DUDE!!  Can't wait to see that monster of yours (no snarky comments from the peanut gallery) when I get back.  Think you can start making it out to the Sunday rides?

I've been off bikes for 20 years suffering through a marriage.  That's all over now though and I'm working on widening the wear on the rear tire slowly.  I get like 800 miles on the Duc and getting pretty comfortable.  Sunday rides are a definite option when I get a bit more seat time.  Didn't get any reply to the Hula Girls in Bacon recipe on the tee's post.  Did I forget something?  I know I got the portions wrong as the recipe actully serves 1 - 12.  Also didn't say what to do with the beer but I was hopin' you'd figure that out on your own. [beer]
