Dang, looks as though one of the threads is seized in the adjusting link, has anyone here taken there's out?
Looks like you've just gotta support the bike off the ground, undo bottom bolt on shocky/link and top bolt on the link and it should come out.
Correct? Yes? No? maybe?
correct except what do you mean by seized bottom bolt , it wont turn or the opposing shaft that comes through from the other side is spinning , if so take out bung and hold while taking out bottom bolt cheers bazz
Thanks Bazz,
the assembly won't turn, so I can't get any adjustment, thinking I may have overtightened the lock nuts and damaged the threads so I want to take the whole thing out and see what I can do to repair it. probably just needs a die run over the threads, or a bit of a thread file.
I found the best way to support the bike is by using a tie down or two and hanging the rear end off a beam. Made life alot easier. [thumbsup]
My 2 cents Rob [bacon]

as DUCMONROB said yousing a couple of rachet tie downs or hoyst cause once you drop the shock youll need a bit of space to to get shock and link rod out , bazz
before you pull it out i'd check availability of a new one (the alloy piece) and if there's none in the country i'd order one. invaribly one of the rose joint threads will pick up part of the alloy thread and tear the rest of the thread out as you wind it out. lots of heat and penetrant too, and let it sit between bouts of heat and penetrant if you have the oppurtunity. remember the end with little slots across the nut is lh thread.
and lots of anti seize paste when you reassemble.
