If you get it (the Japacati) can I've a spin?
I know the Desmo is special but I might be able to afford fixing the Japacati if the un-think-able happens.
If there is a spot in white group I'd like to come along. Well, white group or "pink group" or "brown group". Whatever the slow one is :)
Email Waz here. ducatisbigdayout@gmail.com and I'll make sure he knows you are after a spot.

Paid and in, might even have a few more things on-board by then.

Oh dear. Well at least the R1 is doing what you bought it for - saving the RR from mortal damage. Doesn't help tho I know. :( [bang]
Take it that damage was only to the bike?

Yeh that's right, I did take the desmo for a squirt today ,It certainly dos let you know how easy a production bike are to ride. they are so forgiving. the desmo on the other hand is not its so wooden and stiff as a board and not forgiving at all .
Im ok and so is the bike Just waiting for track glass [thumbsup]

Nope its a real challenge to ride it I love it [thumbsup]
Is it ok to do a track day without attending the California Superbike School?
I was there yesterday watching the ride day. I wouldn't have a problem riding in the slow group, there were a couple of shockers riding with 1 really dodgy rider causing another rider to go off the track at turn 1. How the rider managed to control the death wobbles in the sand and not hit the tire wall was a bloody top effort. So i gather it's acceptable for anyone to ride regardless of ability?
A bit of carnage yesterday to. 2 Ducati's banged up, a new 09 R1 getting into the sand pit aswell. The 2 Desmo's looked good. My favourite though was the MV Agusta with the custom paint job [bow_down]

Cough?
On topic, there is no pre req for having done CSS prior to doing EC trackdays. I did my first track day at EC last year without having attended CSS; although I errrr, binned it on turn 2 in the 4th session. [bang]
If you have done track riding before, it shouldn't be a problem. But doing CSS Level 1 prior to returning the track was invaluable to me from a confidence perspective. Knowing the lines that folks will generally be taking means you worry less about chopping someone elses line (for me anyway). As long as you are happy with passing and being passed (generally at light speed down the straight), you should be sweet.
Nailed it Craigo, you have to be comfortable passing and being passed.
Lines are also true but everyone including the Warp Speed red grp take different lines to each other.
It is a good idea to have some track knowledge for your own safety as well as others.
me and betty might make it for a look have to wait and see
I've just book into the yellow group.
First time on the S4RS at EC. Nervous as hell but very excited
You'll love it mate, the S4Rs is a secret weapon round the creek.
Looking forward to it, there'll be a few of us out there.
So who's booked for the creek Saturday:
Mattyvas
Big T
Dannog
Craigo???
Dockstrada - Working???
And Matty what garage we all going in?
What's the plan? Big T it appears you've volunteered yourself to organising everyone?
Don't think Craigo is coming out to play this time, baby bump is too close I believe.
Will talk to Vince in the next day or so, gotta give him some $$$ for the latest item on the bike!!
I'll see if he can claim the same garage as last time for us as he is there both Friday/Saturday this week.
Will keep you posted. I will be riding out this time no room to trailer since the new "track wench" has arrived.
See you both Saturday.
sorry guys we wont be able to make it have other stuff to do.
That's okay, I think it will be an easy day after talking to the most recent friend who came down at turn 7.
I'm riding out as well (be there 7:30am ish..)...... [thumbsup]
So we shall wait till Matty talks to Vince re a garage......
OK, I didn't get any details from Waz when I registered. What is the run sheet for the day?

I knew there was something I had forgotten to do. [bang] [bang] [bang] If you read this, and you speak to waz matty or dannog, if there is a spare ticket left that is coloured white or yellow let me know, cause I'm in.
sorry Craigo don't think there are any places left.
Did fire you a PM or sms a few weeks back to see if you were up for it.
I guessed you weren't coming cause I didn't hear back, sorry.
Danno you were included in the confirmation email, at least you were confirmed in the body saying yellow group.
Will let you know about garage tomorrow.
Spoke to Vince in the last day or so.
He will do his best to get us a garage or at least space in his.
Sounds like there might be a few people out tomorrow.
So we'll group outside and head for the same garage area as last time Big T.
Will be there at the gate round 7-7:30, see you both then.
Sounds good to me....... [thumbsup]
See you all at the gate...... [moto]

Great day out today chaps!
Excellent riding conditions the whole day though.
I know everyone had a great cause it was smiles all day long and zero damage or "moments"
My small amount of snaps are up on the Oz Monsters Flickr for you to have a gander at.

Nice photos Matty.
I think your bike should be known as 'Dogs Balls' ... four Monsters - two back, one titanium and dogs balls ;D ;)
You guys were all getting around pretty well today (even that blow-in on the 4 cylinder thingy) ... I'm impressed and intimidated at the same time.
yes guys i was glad that Betty and I made it there to see you guys, it was sooooooo good [bow_down]. now i have to just get out there myself and back on Jukie [moto]
Was a very cool day with perfect track conditions (I'm stuffed. Just had a Nanna nap on the couch)....... [thumbsup]
Great to see Jukie, Betty and Goldie (with family in tow)....... [bow_down]
OOohhh and Jukie is backkkkkkk (even with her missing bodily parts)....... [clap]
awesome day! see I knew if I just turned up on a wing and a prayer I'd get a run :) [thumbsup]
I've decided I need a new bike with better suspension that is fat bastard capable adjustable (when I win Powerball next Thursday clearly)
Dogs Balls ??? does it have something dangling down at the back
Maybe it's the fact that it's 8am and my brain hasn't turned on yet.
... as in, stands out like ...
The red is kinda prominent against all the dark goodness ;D
Ah thanks, I was thinking that after the cogs started working.

Got this from a friend who popped out to the track in the morning.
Not totally sharp but it does give a good sensation of speed.
