Would anybody like to get together to celebrate? This week (and weekend) are really rough for us since he's working the majority of the time but next week would be perfect.
Ideas?

Anyone have suggestions on where to go? We can head into town.
I'll see if the boy has any suggestions.
Well Veeektor, looks likes its just you and us.
I'll pm you and we'll have a little get together. [thumbsup]
Wait, huh?
Can't you wifely types just work this shit out? Sheesh, Im good with Gin and beer and cuddling with Jacob.
We can probably go if the time is early enough, and the establishment allows for children.
Oh, and invite that hater Big-E!

Tell us the plans... we will try and make it.
I'm good. Next week is wide open . . . [thumbsup]
Ok, so the only places I know are around me. My restaurant knowledge stops at Clackamas Town Center, which I think is a little far for most of you guys.
And of course the boy is of no help.
Anyone got any suggestions for in town stuff? Or are people willing to truck it out to Clackamas Town Center and go to some place like California Pizza Kitchen?
Not that I can get up to PDX, but Gustav's is where I like to meet for brew, fondue and good food.

This place is really good and close to the Barlow Road so you two can catch the wagon train home easy. ;D
If you don't like the fish, you can get plenty of carnivore's delight. They got the hot grills with the knife-hurlin', karate-choppin' Kung-Fu chef dudes that are pretty entertaining by themselves. Kind of like Chang's Mongolian grill, but better.
Chang's is cheesy Fu Manchu fake-y bullshit. Fuji's is more real-deal. And the waitstaff are cute, er, I mean courteous. BTW, I think you have to reserve a spot at the grills.

hhmm
Ok we will make it a vote
Fuji's
or
The Kennedy School
I think Mac's would be more kid friendly and has better beer
but
I LOVE shiny foo
The Hopworks (http://www.hopworksbeer.com/) Brewpub is very kid friendly in the restaurant side of the place.
hippy brewery?

I've been to hopworks several times but I've never been to The Kennedy School or Fujis.
I vote Kennedy school. Tuesday. 630pm early enough for the Millers?

FYI, the Courtyard Restaurant at the Kennedy School (which is where I'm assuming we're gonna eat since the others are bars) does not take reservations. I'll try to get there a little early and corral an area.

That's the best way to go about it. Go and tell them you have a group of X coming in and get a little electric hockey puck. Worked out alright when I took our work group there.
Kennedy School is great. They used to be my favorite place, until they threatened to tow my bike because I parked on one of those diagonal-line spots--an out of the way one, mind you. Sure, you're not 'supposed to', but it's not uncommon bike behavior, especially when there are otherwise no spots, and it makes sense to leave car spots for cars. Also, just be cool, man. Just be cool.
I *may* show.
Lisa is going to meet us at the Kennedy School, she might even get there before me.
Just to be clear.... 6:30ish at the Kennedy School... tonight... June 9th.... for [drink] and [puke]
;D
Jacob and I will probably get there at 6 to grab tables.
New list:
Mother and JBubble
Mo, Neenjah, and babeh
Veeektor and Lisa
Johnny
Ryan and Julie - maybe
Bendy - maybe
Happy deener celebration. [beer] Wish I could join... but I wuz workin' late. Turns out when you only have like 5 people in the whole Systems Engineering department (including yours truly), being "the new guy" is no excuse... you gotta start contributing meaningful crap right away. It's a cool challenge, professionally (and really rewarding), it just sucks for my social life.
Anyway, hope y'all have a great evening! [thumbsup]
Fine, just keep it to yourselves this year. We won't mind.
Happy birthday, son.
there is a big ole happy beerday thread in no moto content... but you would think he would come off the mountain to drink with us some time... eh?
Sorry I missed it!
I don't get frickin notices about topic updates >:(
Happy belated B-day Vajacob!
Although this is a topic from last year that was recycled... not that we got together this year... cause va-ja-ja-cob is too cool for our side of the mountain these days. ;D
I would have come down but Cierra

Are you saying that baby of Mo's could be your love child and not from Cierra?? wow... that brings a whole different discussion to the table...
