Title: Local Gear Retailers
Post by: JoeChieftain on June 08, 2009, 12:11:10 PM
I am looking for decent riding pants. I am looking for overpants for work commute and some for general riding. I am a little fussy, so I like to try stuff on. Are there any retailers in/near the cities that stock anything other than the tourmasters? I have been to Primo, Leos, and Bobs (although I didn't look real closely at the pants there).

Any help is appreciated-

Mike

If you want to take a little trip up north (not too far) you can go to denniskirk. It's in Rush City and you can either go to the scratch and dent store or the warehouse (main) store and try on anything they have on their website.  www.denniskirk.com (//http://)

I just bought some overpants from Bob's (First Gear).

I didn't know Dennis Kirk actually had a retail store.  I might have to check that out.

If you're downtown, Midwest Cycle Supply (http://www.midwestcycle.com/) might be worth checking out.  I bought my old RF-800 there but I haven't been back in like 7 years.

Don't forget Aerostich (http://www.aerostich.com) - they manufacture some of the best textile riding gear offered anywhere, especially if you're planning to use it to commute.

I know they're not in/around the Cities, but Duluth isn't that far away...   They'll measure you at the factory for custom orders, too.  [thumbsup]
