Title: bi-weekly ride
Post by: Major Slow on June 14, 2009, 06:20:55 AM
After Saturdays ride, Mo, Jake and I were sitting around and chatting and thought we should try for a group ride every 2nd week. Having longer to plan and regular scheduled rides might help busy people who need to plan ahead. So plan on 6/27 and 7/11.

If people give a few suggestions for routes I will try to scout it next weekend.

If we are going to do some longer rides, we should try to head over into Wisconsin and hit some of the alphabet roads I've been hearing so much about. Unfortunately I/we can't make it to the  6/27 ride. Amber's brother has a graduation party up north.

I think this is a great idea.  Unfortunately I will not be able to make it on the 27th either....I'm headed to God's country.

I might be in for 6/27 if you don't mind a slow gal.  Only one fast person in a household is allowed.   [moto]

I know its supposed to be a bi-weekly ride, but since next weekend isn't going to work for me I'd be up for a ride this weekend if anybody is interested. We could just "scout" some roads for next weekend  ;D

How about a ride to BIR?

CRA is riding the short course this weekend.

Lots of fun to be had.

What time are you guys thinking?  BIR might be a stretch for me on time but it would be a hell of a lot of fun.

It looks like a good route, but I need to go on an HD ride. My route will go more like this

I actually like Rose Guy's route better .... I might take couple of detours, like OO off of 10 , and then hit 60 , if u dont mind me/us joining u for part of the ride  [thumbsup]

free country.... But I really don`t have an agenda. I won`t leave before 9. I like to go on these Harley trips. no twisties really... Just a long ride with a loose destination. I like the scenery down in se mn.

I usually have to stop at peelers for a soda on the way home so bring dollars.

You know where I live and if i`m not up make coffee and let the dogs out.

3 hrs with the normal gas and everything stops.  meet up 9 ish and get on the road 9:30 ish

I put my place as start and finish again, but if someone on the east side wants to host please chime in.

I might be running out of bikes so there might be a honda or 2 harleys taking to the ride.

Things are looking good for my attendance.

See you guys at MNMonster's at 8:30 AM, unless something crazy happens.

So, we still want to do the county oo route in Wi this weekend?  Is this the route you were talking about John?

WTF?  ??? Someone stole Mo's login! There is no way that Mo can plan a route that well. Hell, he gets lost going to work.
Who are you and how did you get Mo's password? [leo]

I have a limited window of time too. So if I go, I may just bail out a little early.

If the mrs can handle riding pregnant dog that long, I'm fine with a longer route  [thumbsup]

I will be riding the 1198 so I will not be in for a long ride. But at redwing those who want to a short ride head back through welch those who want a long ride can head south to wabasha and hwy 60.

A simple solution so I can see the schwangs lovely face.

I'm going to try and catch up with you guys. I have to wire in some turn signals real fast. So, what is your first stop and at approx. what time?

Ok, I just looked at your map. We'll go to Prescott. I think that we can beat you there by skipping the meet up first stuff.

Fantastic time today with Schwanger, Cyclops, MinnesotaMonster, Mrs. MinnesotaMonster, Fasterblkduc, and Monstergirl.

My tail light has been successfully re-attached, this time using Loctite.

Thanks for hosting, Mr. and Mrs. MinnesotaMonster, and hopefully Rose_Guy will make it out next time. :)

We will be up north this weekend, so no go for us. If anybody wants to take a short evening ride before Friday, I'd be up for it.

Since I'm the one who can't keep dates straight... I could probably make a ride tomorrow, the 25th, if there are plans for one.

I think I'll be checking out the bearded lady thingy.

There's a sportbike ride planned on Sunday.  It's posted on MNSBR.com by a guy that goes by "duc man" (from Ham Lake, anyone know him?).  Here's his post about the ride:

"I am doing my Frontier ride on Sunday July 26, kickstands up at 10am. Meet at Culver's in Blaine near 109th and Hwy 65. The route is about 150 mile roundtrip with gas and lunch at the halfway point in Princeton MN at the Frontier Steak House usually about a 4hr comittment. Good roads + good food= good time. Watch for updates."

I'm planning on going on this.  I know of one other Duc rider that's going too.  She doesn't know anything about our outfit but I'm working on bringing her into the fold.

I live in Andover-  I can probably swing a 10 am departure from Blaine. I am curious to see what "good" roads are. If the warden will let me out, I'll see you there.
