Title: Replacement 2007 S2R Bars
Post by: Flipside725 on June 15, 2009, 03:45:08 PM
Hey Everyone -

Long story short - I got into an accident (don't worry, I'm a-ok) and luckily only minor damage to the bike was suffered, including the bars. OEM bars are $232, and I was wondering if there are any good substitutes out there that'll house the equivalent of OEM bar-ends (13.5-14.6mm inner-diameter) so I don't have to ditch my rhinomoto bar-end sliders, and pref. w/ a more aggressive stance.

Any ideas?

with all the folks around here with clip ons there has to be someone that will sell you their old bars. Did you try parts wanted section, or parts for sale?

Unsure if your bike has the fat bars (Magura), but I'm pretty sure I need to sell mine (fork interference necessitating clipons.

So yea, I ended up going w/ speedymoto clipons. Insurance $ is nice to play with, esp. if you don't mind keeping around a headlight w/ a small scratch etc that they wanted to replace. Bike is gettin the HOOK-UP - rearsets, damper, crg clutch levers, speedymoto clipons. really excited about it. def. posting pics when she's put back together.

thanks guys  [thumbsup]

Check out Pro-Taper bars, under $100.00 and many options for rise & sweep.  And they look great on a Monster [thumbsup]
