Title: When two cylinders just aren't enough

There's this.

If it used 848/1098 sparkplugs, plug changes would run over $1900 ($40x48)
Being conservative, I like this X4 idea.  Much simpler math.

Didn't Ariel bikes in the early part of last millineum have an opposed 4 cyl layout like this but horizontally not vertically?

I would think after creating something like that you would look in the mirror and say, "Boy, what a waste of time and money!"
I could have created a gas turbine riding mower instead.

I agree.  And where are the panniers?  The wind screen?  The passenger seat?  What a goofball.

More two-stroke multi madness from 2004, this time multi-engined:

Notice that the rider can reach the bars from the seat. Photoshopped or not, you can't say the same for the 48-cylinder Kawasaki.

More pics of "The Dolmette" 24-engined (yes, "24-engined", not merely a 24-cylinder engine) from wyldsyd:

The tech from the Dolmar Website:

The bike nearly beat a professionally-driven Audi AS400, with only 20 of its 24 engines running, in a drag race at Lausitz. Unfortunately, it suffered from excessive wheel spin off the line:
http://www.dolmar.com/news/dolmette/the_race.html (http://www.dolmar.com/news/dolmette/the_race.html)

Since the Dolmette lacked an ECU, traction control was definitely out of the question. So was electric starting, obviously. I haven't found out why it had a gas tank when each of the chain saw engines had its own fuel supply. Still, could this be the Spruce Goose of motorcycles?

Then, of course, there is this thing:

All it needs is a propeller!

That's not the gas tank, it's the drag chute container... :P

Would this be classified a Superbike?
