Hello,
As many of you know from my earlier posts...I am new to Ducati's...but loving this M900!!
But, I do need a new shifter. I ride a lot around the neighborhood on errands...I am usually in white sneakers..the stock shifter is soiling them up!! Ugh..Blackness
So I want to replace the shifter with a non-black rubber one
please give me some options!!?
Thanks very much & ALOHA
First, don't ride around in sneakers. It's really unwise.
Second, you can buy a shift lever cover. About 8 bikes ago, I had a neoprene/rubber one on my shift lever.
alooooohaaaa!
but anyway. I'd switch to black shoes. of the moto-variety, at that :)
< tangent >
are you the dude who bought mac's bike?
The solution is to wear flip-flops.
[clap]
you wouldn't believe how many guys ride in sneakers...even on the freeway!! :o
But., I always ride in tennis shoes & mostly white so I do have to make an adjustments!!?
Yeah I was thinking about a tubing over original or a new shifter
Thanks

but seriously wear boots. Shoes fly off. It's not something you want to happen at a highway speed wreak.

or dangly laces getting caught in stuff on the left side of your bike...
I mean, hey, it's entirely up to you... it's just the crowd here is generally a bit more gear conscious.

Yes it is. Dude, come on over to Desmotropic and join the party. [beer]
I made my own shifterskin out of a beer sleeve. But that only prevents you from scratched your shoes, the reason its black is because its a damn bike! Its DIRTY.
change to black sneakers or wash your lever before and after every ride.

Hello,
What is Desmotropic?
It's us. The local "gang". So to speak.
As for casual riding shoes these work pretty good. Comfy too.

AlpineStars has a comparable shoe/boot as well.
