Does anyone have VDST Software for the Hyper? I'm experiencing a VERY lean running motor on my bike and from all the reading that I'm doing, adjusting the fuel mixture with this software is my best choice for fixing it. If anyone has it and would be willing to help me set the mixture...I'd really appreciate it. I can bring the motovation (Beer) or I don't mind paying a little bit for the help. Let me know! [beer]
PM sent.
With a stock ECU, will the VDST be able to do anything? The FatDuc O2 manipulaters sound like a good way to go. I've just started reading up on them a bit. They sound pretty easy to adjust and help with stock systems and with slip-ons to tweak your air-fuel ratio by tricking the ECU through the O2 sensor.
Ohhh... THIS board. Sorry rich...
So, are you guys both able to do lunch tomorrow? Or dinner if not? Rich asked me to coordinate something for you to grab his VDST. Post up if tommorow worksfor you
hey Guys, Lunch today would be great! Rich, I tried to call and left a VM...I'll try again.
Ok...just talked to Rich and we are going to meet at 1pm today at the Stonleigh T Restaurant. The address is: 2926 Maple Ave, Dallas if anyone wants to join!
Thanks again Rich!
cool, sounds good
Hey Rich, not that the software is in my neighborhood, can I be next in line? Need to trim up the DP ecu I have. [popcorn]
The software IS in your neighborhood (well, same city anyways)! I was able to hook up with Rich yesterday and borrow it from him. I'm hoping to spend some "quality" time with the bike Wed/Thurs and hopefully work out what I need to work out. If he says it's OK...we can meet up somewhere and I'll pass it off to you.
He says it won't completely fix my problem, but it will sure help if I can trick the ECU with a few different settings. I have the stock ECU. If anyone has any suggestions about setting or advice on what to do, I'm all ears!
Might be good to post up in the Tech section on the "big board". Twenty bucks says you will get a lot of help over there.

Yes.
I told Jason (Adrenalix) you were interested in using it too.
I told him when he was done you were welcome to it. [thumbsup]

He can adjust his idle mixture and reset his "wrench" (maintenance light) on his dash, run diagnostics, etc...
He cannot adjust the overall fuel-trim to the engine like you can with the DP ECU.
Thanks, I can work on the return side when we are both done [thumbsup]
Ok...I'm done with the software. It didn't really do much for me because I have the stock ECU. It wouldn't even let me adjust the idle fuel mixture. Oh well...it was worth a try. I was able to remove the maintenance light on the dash at least!
If someone is wanting this software, please get with Rich for permission. I don't have a problem meeting someone to drop it off, but because it's not my stuff, I'd like Rich's permission before I go passing it off to someone else!
Rich, much appreciate for letting me borrow it.
Let me know when we can meet to pick it up, I'm around all weekend.
Thanks Rich [thumbsup]

did you find a Monster for Sue? [popcorn]
Webspoke is now the proud borrower of the software. Good Luck Web...great to see you yesterday!
Yea..with a new bike it is pretty much so a $200 maintenance light extiguisher or for resetting the TPS. I am sure with an older bike it would become more beneficial for solving electronics problems.
I am in Fort Worth so if anyone in this area needs the use of my VDST software, its available.
