Title: Hi.

I'm a new rider. Just picked up a 696 and I'm loving it. So far, I'm just doing short rides and working on smoothing out the inputs. I'm a car guy so my feet are a lot smoother than my right hand so far.  :-[

At this rate, I'll have her broken in by 2011. hehe It will be interesting to see what my post count is by then.

Well, that's the way to do it, pace yourself. Practicing shifting & maneuvering in an empty parking lot at low speeds will get you throttle/clutch control faster than anything!  [thumbsup]

Welcome and congrats on the new bike.

It's a steep learning curve at first, but it will get much better after a bit more practice. [thumbsup]

Have fun, ride safe. [moto]
