the vinyl on my seat was dying so I took to my local shop and asked for it to be recovered. They used HTMoto and I think it looks absolutely amazing.

The picture on the website is actually my seat, it was the first one they'd done, but here are some close ups.

Hmm, couple of them are a little IZ_. Sorry, I was using a tripod and macro lense so I could zoom in close. Must've bumped the tripod or something.
I picked the CF vinyl and non-slip vinyl, both black, altho the non-slip has a little more of a matte finish to it. i wanted it to look 'kind of' stock, with a dash of zazz. If you go to the website, you can pick the color and material for each panel, from a pretty extensive list.
Well I think I just found who's gonna recover my seat for me. ;D
Thanks
that looks absolutely fantastic.
I LOVE that!
wonder if they'll do a 696/1100 version?

nice!
Don't forget about Luimoto.com TOB got them started on monsters, i got mine almost 3 years ago and my bike doesn't know what a garage is and has not faded or cracked yet. They also do some custom stuff as well.

yeah similar reason I went with these guys. Well, my first reason was they're local to me and I try to support local businesses. But they didn't have a monster cover and figured if I bit the bullet and was the first one, then everyone could benefit. The luimoto ones are nice, but I was so impressed with some of my buddy's who got theirs done by HT, I had to get mine done there too.
I like the pattern options that HT gives also. Altho I went pretty plain on mine, man you could go frigging nuts with the HT pattern. With the different colors and textures of vinyl (http://hydroturf.com/upcolors.php), every cover would truly be unique.
Thanks for the nice comments, now I just need to get my bike back together.
Regards
Andy
I am planning to customize the seat on my monster...posted a photo of what I wanted. Then a fellow boarder linked me to this post and I think HTM is the way I'm going. The hard part will be the color choice...black red, white, and green would be cool!!
THANKS!!!
Looks great. [thumbsup] I like the red stitching - it's not overly flashy and very tastefully done.
You can even get camo! I might go with the woodland variety.
Privateer,
have you experienced any issues with the stitching on the top seated area, does it bother you/dig in?

I haven't noticed it so I would say 'no.' That patch on the butt part of the seat seems to be positioned so the seams don't rub on my legs, but I don't move around much on the seat, so someone else who does might notice it more han me.
The no-slip section is pretty grippy tho, I can say that.

Thanks [thumbsup] This cover is so damn good looking AND affordable - I love the chance for some grip and color variation - I'm thinking about adding a gel pad and this cover. http://www.kemmlerproducts.com/products1.html (http://www.kemmlerproducts.com/products1.html)
My cover will probably be:
Red non-slip on areas D and E (passenger seat and sides)
Black carbon on areas A and C (riders seat and lower sides)
Black or white non-slip on area B (thigh grip area)
Good timing. I just noticed how old my stock seat looks. The non-slip vinyl may help my passenger stay in place.
i realized I didn't have any pictures of the seat on the bike.
Here it is without the cowl. I usually run with the cowl, so you might see a faint indentation from the cowl's leading edge.
(shot at an angle to maximize photo dimensions, not for myspaceyness)

think they could make one for a corbin? shape is a little different.
did your shop send the seat to them so they could custom cut the pattern?

I'll be honest, I've not had good luck with email. YMMV If you don't get a reply in a couple days, I'd suggest a call.
