Interesting, in Europe the current model is the XR-1000 as opposed to RF. There's also some slight differences like some color schemes an they seem to have an anti-fog insert.
The 1100 looks cool - we'll probably get it here. Probably just some red tape they need to wade through before they can announce it.

You can easily get a Pinlock faceshield (for the anit-fog insert) for Shoei helmets here. Or for HJC and Arai, for that matter.
finally a bigger pin-lock visor. That's the one downside of my current RAID II helmet. The edge obstruct your view a lot of the time.
The standard Shoeis have always had fogging problems but even when I didn't have problems with the visor fogging the breath guards always fogged up my glasses. I wish they would fix that too. [roll]
I like the RF-1000 Shoeis I have.

I was right on the verge of buying an RF-1000. Now I have to figure out whether to go ahead, or to wait until the RF-1100 comes out. Even if I don't go with the new helmet, the price of the old ones will probably drop until they run out.

I got an email from Cyclegear earlier this week where one of the items was a pretty good discount on the 'Diabolic' flavors of the RF-1000 - so I'd bet there will be some deals on the 1000s once the 1100 hits the markets. Just don't wait too long, or all you get is XXXL or XXS
