I'm just posting this poll to gauge a little interest. Only a small percantage of MN Ducati owners frequent this forum, so it's only to gauge interest, and to generate ideas.
I'm instructing with ZARS, Zalusky Advanced Riding School. It's a top notch school run by a professional AMA roadracer, Jessica Zalusky. I've been talking to Jessica about the MN Ducati owner's club and the possibility of having her school host a Ducati owner's day. She is interested in doing this but it's too late this year to do anything big. So I posted a few options to think about. If we can get a dealer and/or Ducati involved in it, maybe we can get reduced rates, or demo bikes, or something. I don't know yet since I'm just beginning this but I will see what I can come up with.
Monstergirl has worked real hard for over two years (with no help) to get this club off the ground and now it's my turn to contribute some of my time to try to come up with our first club event. So, I want to do something that can be fun for everyone and get some great exposure for the club.
Choose up to two items and if you have other ideas, suggestions, or want to offer help ;) post up!

What about joining up with ducati ohama at mam since they own track addix now, might be less red tape. It gonna be hard to get a turnout at bir imo unless the Ducati day peggybacks on another day. mam really isn't too far of a drive although the pit conditions there are like setting up in a homeless camp. either way I agree that it's time for someone else to do some organizing as well and I'm willing to help however you need me to on this idea. I understand your point but the intended purpose is to have a MN Ducati event and I'm not worried about Ducati having to drive their truck here as much as I would be all of the MN Ducati owners figuring out how to get their bikes down to Omaha.
In other words, I think that very few people would go down there from here, and it's not helping our scene. Also, Jessica is already working to expand her school and trackdays now that Trackaddix sold. Look for ZARS to be the primary trackday provider and performance riding school for Minnesota, and beyond. I think that this is a pivotal moment for her business to really grow. I know that she has some big things in the works.
I may take you up on the help offer. I don't need any yet but I'm sure that I will at some point.
All of these ideas sound fantastic.
I voted for the riding school option since I have never ridden on a track and I would be more likely to make it to a local event.
I'm more likely to make to to DCTC than BIR. I voted for the bigger riding school option next season but, depending on my work schedule, would like to do just a Ducati Owners riding school this season also.
Great ideas for events though. I know my riding skills would benefit any sort of track day or riding school. Just not sure my bikes up for a full fledged track day.
Yes! As long as Motoprimo isn't involved in any way. I voted for B.I.R.
