Title: Charlie's make the beast with two backsin track day
Post by: herm on July 13, 2009, 08:56:46 AM
[rant]
just not catching a break this summer.
first a little get off caused a bunch of down time waiting for parts, and then the monsoons moved in.
25 out of 30 days in june with lots of rain.

now, my street is being torn up, from both ends at the same time, and new drainage put in, and then repaved. even on weekends, its all mud, except where there is still pavement (thats covered in gravel) job supt says it should be done by the end of august...

i am going to have to load my bike in the truck and find a parking lot to unload if i want to ride any time soon.

that is all [/rant]

yeah, in the winter, by the time i finish moving enough snow to open the garage, its getting dark again, and i try not to ride at night if i can avoid it....to many moose around here. so tall, you cant see them in the headlights. first thing you know is when you get a thousand pounds of the beast across the handlebars...

You can store your bike at my place.  I'll give her some lovin when you're not around  ;)

Seriously though, is your road really going to be that bad for that long?  They did drainage on my road a couple of years ago.  There was a couple of days I couldn't get the bike out, but for the most part I just had to be careful in the gravel.  I'd have been complaining if I couln't ride out for that long.  The foreman on the job on my road was a rider (HD, but a rider none the less).  A few minutes of bike chat probably helped in keeping my driveway transition in half decent shape.

Long range forecast for this weekend looks good.  Don't miss out.

It was a good day.  Lots of track time, 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off.

so much track time......  I had a blast.  AT one point I was on the track and it seemed like I was alone.  I must have done 4-5 laps before I caught up to other bikes and started passing.  it was towards the end of the day and I'm sure some went home or just tired out.
