Just bought a set of Sato Rearsets off of another member. Wanted a reverse shifter to go with it but Sato doesn't sell one.
Just bought this off of ebay a few days ago:

Came today (shipped from Hong Kong on the 11th). Beautiful shifter. Looks much better (IMO) than the one I used to have from Sling Shot Racing, cheaper too.
I highly recommend the ebay seller.
I was looking at those the other day. I am still hunting for the CC one that was for the 749/999 that had the bend in it.
Pull the trigger man, you won't regret it...

The one I have now is fine, but I want the one with the bend.
not to threadjack, but I need to ask a stupid question:
by installing this, do you reverse the shift pattern (1 down, 4-5 up becomes 1 up 4-5 down)? or does it just eliminate the connecting linkage and you still have the same shift pattern? I can't imagine it in my mind right now.

Correct. [thumbsup]
Yup, now 1 up 5 down, no linkage slop...

I've been tracking this for a bit now, but didn't see any feedback on 'em.
Good to know.
Thanks!
that curve looks a lot more comfy with boots on. i have teh motowheels one i bought on ebay for $20 bucks used. cleaned it up and PCed it and the only thing i dont like about it is, its too long. All the ones designed for the SBKs seem to be extra long.
The curve is nice, plus the toe piece is on an eccentric bolt...
post up a review of it when you get it installed. they look mighty sweet!
<cough>

no one told you to bend over and turn your head
NAKID, i thought you had an S2R1000??, thats looks like an 800 kickstand. And i didnt know you had SATOs, i was hoping for a pic with stock rearsets.
whops seems you wrote i received it today. doh!
S2R1000 and S2R800 kickstands are identical. This kickstand is a stock, but polished one. Also, my sig line says 2006 S2R1000, just like yours. ;D

no it doesnt. :-X ;)
For some reason i dont remember mine looking like that. but i have stock rearsets.
how long is it?
130mm...
The Sato's take one of the mounting points off of the rearsets. It includes a spacer for the bolt to ensure the kickstand still has 2 mounting points...
Any harder to shift without the lever arm? Better or worse as far as force goes? More positive feel is a given....
I would say it requires maybe a little extra force, but the feel is much better than the linkage...
