What's up Jobu?
My allergies are acting up. My nose hurts and I can't sleep.
Sounds shitty.
I'm out of Claritin.
Sorry dude.

Are you sure you're out? Wish I could sleep.
Yeah, I'm sure I'm out.
But I don't think the Claritin would help you sleep.

You fix your bike yet?
If by "fix your bike" you mean "tear apart your starter and fail to put it back together yet", then yes, I have.

This is not sounding to good. So, how about them Cubbies, eh?
Cubs lost.
My BoSox are still winning though.

Da*n Cubs, anyway. I know why my grandfather was always frustrated with them.
Opps, gotta get back to work. Oh well.
Pretty weather, bike's in the garage at home with a cord tread patterned rear tire ~

I'm starting to think I should leave the Monster in the garage until I get new rubber as well.

the rubber didn't come out right? Did you see the doc on that?
Well, having to park the bike gave me the chance to soften up my preload (Marzoochi's, so it requires pratial disassembly to change the shim height) and install my new signals ~

No, that's a phrase I came up with back when I lived in the dorms at Carolina.
A couple of girls and I discovered a program that read aloud any incoming messages you had with AIM.
So we started sending each other absurd, vulgar messages just to hear our computers read them.
That was our collective favorite. ;D

Yeah, I started coming down with a cold on the drive back too.
I think I have about 2 days left until I'm back to 100%.
I've been out riding today too. I'm lovin the Hyper.

I'd like to have scored a demo ride on one at Indy. They looks like they'd be a lot of fun.
I took the Monster out after playing with the brakes, and re-adjusting the chain tension and tire pressures. It rides much better now. Then I came back, hopped on the Supersport and took it around for a while. The differences in those two bikes is amazing. The Monster seems to be so much more responsive to direction changes. I guess it's the wide handlebars and light weight, but it's just so much more "flickable"
The Supersport on the other hand just effortlessly goes fast. It doesn't like to cruise, it just wants to accelerate, brake, turn, and then accelerate again. The dry clutch is a lot stiffer than the wet clutch on the Monster. My left hand started to cramp pretty bad. I'm going to have to practice the clutchless shifting.

Removing two of the clutch springs made a big difference for me, but that is with the stainless steel clutch springs.
Before I got the SpeedyMoto stainless steel springs, I tried taking two of the springs out and got some clutch slip during hard accel. Most people don't get any slip with the stock springs, but I think my stock springs were shot. I also have the Evoluzione slave. With the slave and springs removed, the clutch pull is very light and it never slips.
My 750 had a stiff pull. I'm kinda used to it thought and I'll probably spend the money on something else since I've already trained my hand to using it.
Good ride this weekend, but it's getting chilly high up in these mountains ~

I think we're in one of those "dead zones" they have in the commercials, but without the Verizon network.
Ain't no one around these parts much. :(
Well, I for one, am not in the "dead zone" actually. Just skirted that a couple of weeks ago. Personally, I've been in lurk mode on the forum due to family and health problems. I did manage to record and watch all the MotoGP and WSB races in the last month and a half! Haven't ridden much but I think I'm up for something soon.
New attitude: It's great to be vertical, ain't it? Can we go for a ride now, please?

Yeah, seems like everyone is busy. Work's kicking my ass, so I rewarded myself with a new car so I've been doing my break in miles instead of riding the bikes. I still have to put a new rear sprocket on the SS.
Sorry to hear about the health issues Neal. Glad you're still around and about ready to ride again.
Outside of my 7-mile round-trip commute (along with a couple long-way home commutes) I've been missing out on riding because every weekend seems like it's got a whole pile of stuff to do ~

I've gone a couple of times. It's some Italian place now, and the crowds are much lower than they used to be, but I think they'll come back.

I rode down there the 14th. The restaurant that replaced Michael's has closed. Some guy was passing out flyers for a place in Hillsborough (though I forget the name right now). Bought a cup of coffee, stood around for a while looking at the 20 - 25 other people drinking coffee and looking at the other people . . ., then took off for a ride. One well ridden Monster pulled in just before I left but I didn't get to talk with him. Jeeze, I get out once in a month a the place is closed!
