I wanted to see if everyone had any interest of making our September Notte a BBQ? We can do it at my parking lot, down from Midwest Cycle.
Ulf has stated an interest in showing off some wines....and teaching those of us who want to impress the ladies some key points, (nice body and good legs with a cherry note).
John said he would set up a gymkhana course with his 1198.
Any takers? Any providers?

I think I said ( after a couple of drinks) that if you gave me a few drinks everyone could take the 1198 out for a spin.
What is a gymkhana ?
Im down with the BBQ ... Do we need to bring anything ?
This is a Gymkhana VFR 400 gymkhana (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTO2s7wyrFs#lq-lq2-hq-vhq)
This guy can ride!! Look closely he is not slipping the clutch at all.
[wine]
I'm in, My garage/shop is 1 block away so I can ride my 50 there.....or maybe the new hooligan machine if it goes together [bacon]
Yes! That sounds awesome. I'm instructing until 5:00 pm at DCTC so hopefully I won't miss much.
Kim said that she will be sending you a pm about help with setting this up.
[beer]
Count me in.
Oh man, does this sound awesome. It gets my vote.
I'm not sure about the tradition of BBQ'ing in Bologna, but I am all for it.
Do you want people to bring stuff? If so, maybe we should start a sign-up thread for items. Ideally everyone should be able to fit their item in a tank bag or backpack.
This does sound like a nice change but this night isn't supposed to be for just DMF members. Right? I mean if our current location is established enough people might show up (who don't come here) thinking there is no need to check to see if the spot has changed. We can't expect guzzi and aprilia... folks to come to this forum can we?
But I do like the idea of a BBQ.
Sounds like an awesome idea [thumbsup]
Let us know what we can bring.

I have been messaging with Kim, and she said that she was going to post on the mnducati site as well. Hopefully if we get the word out now, there will not be too many lost sheep.
I like the idea of everyone posting what they can bring to the BBQ. I can of course supply the BBQs. If there are any missing things I can fill the gaps, (and maybe pass a hat to recover $$). Does that sound good?
Who is bringing the [bacon]?
I always bring the [bacon]
The first monday in sept is labour day. Are we still going for the 6:30 start or do we get to start a little earlier? Gymkhana might take a little while. Are we closing down Nicollet for the course?
do you think about $7.50 a head will cover expenses? A lot cheaper then the hors douvres we've been having.
We can start anytime you want... should we say 5:00? I think Gabe is teaching so we still want to keep it close to meet time so he will have a chance to get there. I would think that $7.50 would be fine.
Just so everyone is on the same page: We have been talking about he difficulty of bringing something while riding. So we thought it might be better if we just passed the hat and I took care of the burgers, brats, and equally attractive vegetarian option. I will also have beverages.
Still could borrow an extra BBQ, if anyone is able to drop one by.
Address is 4244 Nicollet ave So. Two buildings north of Midwest Cycle. Parking lot in back is reached from drive aisle mid block on Nicollet.
Ulf are you still up for the wine tasting? [wine]

Heck since its labor day, and most of us would be off anyways, we could go for a ride earlier , and then go for BBQ ... Anybody up for it ?

Dont matter, we cud hit the twisties, maybe go to Lanesboro for lunch ;D ... I do like that place
That would be really fun. Do you think we could get back soon enough to spark up the BBQs?
Im sure we could plan it so we're back by whatever time we need to be back by ... 3-4-5 pm ...
I'd be in for a ride beforehand
I plan on getting in a long ride this weekend down that way. Anyone else got any plans?
So I don't know how many folks from this list received the invite for the BBQ but here is the link again. Please RSVP by Sept 3rd so that we can plan for you to attend. Also cost is $5.00.

I was thinking of hitting this MN-msta ride on sunday http://www.mnsportbikeriders.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46138&st=0 (http://www.mnsportbikeriders.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46138&st=0)
Looks like a good ride with some good riders ... A bit long so im not sure yet :S
I've rode with Greg before and they have been Awesome rides. I'll believe the triple digit rule when I see it though. Every time I got back from one I felt lucky I didn't crash or get thrown in jail but had a great time.Getting going early enough with temps in the low 40's to make kick stands up at 9 in Nelson may be tough to.I don't have any solid plans for tomorrow but would like to make a long day out of it some where.
Hi. Is this open to first-timers? I've been wanting to come to a group event, but have been unable to so far this summer. I'd love to get to know folks on this forum.
Thanks,
Julie

Ignore Major Slow...he's teasing. Of course you can come. It would help out tremendously if you RSVP and paypal the $5 so the folks doing the food can prepare. See quote below. [thumbsup]

Awesome evening! Great pics! Kim will have more to post up when she gets time.
Thank you John for hosting this! [beer] I know that it ended up costing you the most. It was very cool of you and your wife to put this on!
Thank you Ulf for the wine tasting! [wine]
Thank you Kim for putting in countless hours of hard work (dealing with Italians is difficult on a good day), and spending you own money, over the past year to put together an official Ducati club! None of this would be here without your efforts. You're amazing! [bow_down]

Ulf, I have your Ducati sign.
Good people, good food, good times. Thanks R+B for letting us use your parking lot and all the prep time you put in. Monstergirl thank you for organizing the event. Vino900 the wine was excellent.
There was some talk between myself, minnesotamonster, future mrs. minnesotamonster, and others about doing some activities during the winter. One idea was a few pickup games of hockey. So if you hear of any interesting events going on this winter post it up, let's try to keep the participation up during the dark months of winter. Anybody want to learn how to curl? [thumbsup]
