Title: New dude from Co.
Post by: motoboy on August 04, 2009, 08:48:37 PM
Hello all,

I'm newbie Terry from the Boulder Co area.

I have been lurking mainly in the classified area for awhile looking for used Monsters.  Was mainly intersted in the S2r1000 series but a little over a week ago pulled the trigger on a yellow 01 m900sie from a fellow member on this forum.    [thumbsup]

Started riding in 1981 and have had a few bikes.
Yamaha IT175,Yamaha 750 Seca,Yamaha IT490,KTM 250exc, Honda 750 Interceptor,87 Honda CBR600 Hurricane,92 Ducati 900ss,77 BMW R100RS,02 KTM 640 Adventure, 78 MotoGuzzi CX100/Le Mans 2....................all gone.

I currently have a 02 BMW GS and now the new to me Duc Monster.  You folks have a great forum here and I have enjoyed reading many of the various posts.  Thanx Guys and gals !!!!!

Welcome Terry, and congrats on the new S2R! [beer]

Thanks for sharing the pictures, she looks great.

Hope you are having fun on it, a little bit different from your GS. ;)

Oh, and don't forget to check in with your local group, MHM (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=23.0), they are active and very friendly.

Hey somegirl,

Thanks for the welcome    [cheeky]

I had started out looking at S2R1K Monsters but ended up with this 01 that has the older style DSS swingarm.

Yes waaaaay diffrent than the Bmw GS but in a very good way.  It is cool being able to have two different types of bikes depending on what and how you want to ride on a given day.  [moto]

And yes I will have to check out MHM !

Now I just need to figure out how to make more free time !

Hello all,
I'm newbie Terry from the Boulder Co area.

Hi Terry!  My office is in Boulder (just a nice little block away from the West End).  Possibly may be moving back to the area from Denver.

Give me a shout (Bicks too) if you'd like to get together for lunch sometime or maybe we can get the small Boulder group together for happy hour!    [beer]
