Title: Greetings from SoCal
Post by: ManOrAstro-Man? on August 12, 2009, 09:59:32 PM
I've been on this forum for a few months now. Forgot to introduce myself (sorry), but making up for it now.

I'm from Los Angeles. Been riding for ~ 4 years. My first bike was a 2004 Monster 620 and in April 2009, sold the 620 and bought a 696 Dark.

I love all of the information on this forum and will contribute where I can. Seems like good peeps are here!

Welcome, glad you joined us. [thumbsup]  Don't forget to check in with SoCal Monsters (http://socal%20monsters) too.

So how do you like the 696 compared to the 620?

Oh, and don't forget about the pictures. ;)

Hi somegirl, BumbleB,

Thanks for the warm welcomes.  :)

I totally love the 696! I told my girlfriend that I would keep the 620 after I got the 696, but one ride on the 696, I never wanted to get on the 620 again. It's not like I didn't love the 620, but the 696 feels so much more agile.

Anyway, I finally got to the pictures. I wanted to wait until I got my hands on the older black picture before I posted.

Here's the 696 after I rode it back the first day:

Here's the 696 today (4 months later):

No mods except for the colour therapy.

Yellow issa nize!

Wonder how a red framed bike would look with yellow bodywork?  The white wheels might need painting too...red for those...hmmmm...
