After far to many years off a bike (15 years) I decided to get back into it this year. I have wanted a Ducati forever so I bought myself a Monster 696 in matte black. I live in the motorcycle and Ducati hotbed of Rochester NY. OK not a hotbed for either but that's OK. So far I have put a 14t sprocket on it and the Termignonis are ordered. I have had the bike since July 8th and have about 2000 miles on it even with an extremely rainy summer. Unfortunately the dealer I purchased it went out of business about 3 weeks after I purchased it (just after the 1st service), but I found another dealer about 80 miles from my house (my original dealer was 70 miles in the opposite direction). I love the bike and can't understand why I was off a bike for so long.

Welcome Jim, congrats on your new Duc! [thumbsup]
Sounds like you are having great fun with it. [moto]
We love bike pictures, so please share if you have any (especially after you get those Termis on). ;D
Finally got the Termis and Evotech "tidy tail" installed so here are the pictures. Sorry the bike is so dirty!

Love the sound of the new pipes but I think I may have to put in the db-killers in. Driven the bike down the street once and had 2 neighbors comment on how loud it is. They were polite but it was obvious they didn't appreciate the sound like I do.

Love the cans! [beer]
Hi Jim.
Welcome to the board from a fellow WNYer.
My hubby (B) and I live in Buffalo. Let us know the next time you'll be around.
We are in rochester about once a month.
Ride smart. [moto]
Great to hear from another Ducati rider from Western NY. I don't see a lot of Ducatis in Rochester although I know they are out there. I will let you know next time I am heading your way although with the recent weather it may not be until the spring. Let me know next time you head my way.
Thanks,
Jim ;D
