I'm out there to get a pair of Puma shoes to ride. I looked at many but I like this one in particular. Does anyone have these shoes? Are they comfortable? Let me know what you think of them. Thanks!

I wear Pumas everyday and LOVE them. I don't have experience with these particular pair, but they remind me of this:

You asked for opinions... [evil]
These 1980s back to the future baseball-themed basketball shoes are gonna be filthy after the first ride. They don't look like they will stay on in a crash or offer that much protection. They don't even look like they could be categorized as "gear"/PPE.
Get some low-top Sidis (scorpion/blade/street burner)! I wear them at school all day and they're surprisingly light and comfortable. They look downright sophisticated under a pair of jeans, but they're perceived as functionalâ€"like you're wearing them for a reason and not because you thought they looked cool. Then there's the whole Ducati branding-induced poseur stigma you'll be carrying with you wearing those Pumas...
Ya, that, what he said. + Wa?
As in Wa-the-hell are they doing?
I'm still waiting for Puma to do something that looks Ducati and plays the part. MOTORCYCLE SHOE.
Puma/Ferrari shoes are kind of cool. They look like driving shoes and OMG the Team even wears them while racing (they say).
So WTF Puma?! Where's the moto-shoe?
Puma riding boots are kind of super boring IMHO. These shoes here are kind of lost and purposeless, IMHO.

That's our word for

E.g. wearing flip-flops on a motorcycle is not
sophisticated. Wearing moto-specific boots will always be more sensible.
They make decent looking low top boots that cost 200 bucks. They don't sell them at shoe stores.
I bought the desmo boots instead. BUT they do not vent well, and I don't even think they are leather. They fit well and seem to offer good protection. They will flex at the ankle though.
Sorry, those don't look like they'll provide any kind of protection at all. Get yourself some proper gear for riding the bike.
thanks guys!
do you know of any good and flexible boots that i can buy for a reasonable price at a large size (14/15 US)? That's my problem, it's hard to find motorcycle shoes/boots for me. that's one of the few i found online. thanks!!!
I use the Puma Flat 2 v2 (all black). I didn't know they had a Ducati version available. I've been commuting in these for almost a year, great boot [thumbsup]

I'm very pleased with the Sidi Streetburner.
Waterproof they are not.
I'm hoping the functional nature will be more than percieved if it comes to that!
Very Comfy, great to walk in, a decent commuter boot, I do switch em out when I get to work.
Call me old fashioned, I can't find anything good to say about those Puma's.
The V2's were on my list.
The Sidi's have a nice over-foot clamp, wish they duplicated that at the ankle.
IMO the Sidi's seem sized 'true'.
I had the same problem (wear a US size 16). I got the alpinestars smx-4 hightop boots in a European size 50. I think those boots are obsolete now but you should be ok with any of the alpinestars stuff!

So, did the size 50 work well for you? Some shoes for me have to be size 16 US... Earlier today I found the SMX2 at Cycle Gear here: http://tinyurl.com/lfrsgx (http://tinyurl.com/lfrsgx)
Also found the SMX5 here: http://tinyurl.com/l375bs (http://tinyurl.com/l375bs)
I'm thinking about going after the SMX2.... ;D
