O.K. so that's a sensational title for a semi-straight forward question (but you know me and controversy...)
At lunch the other day I think someone mentioned Stuart Rust has a dyno... And if that's the case, does anyone know if he works on Moto Guzzis? I'd love to call him but I can't find his business card :-X Can someone post-up or PM me his number? ;D
Also, does anyone know what the hell is going on over at RPM Cycle? There have been some... issues over there apparently that have upset the service applecart [bang]
TIA,
Lisa
you gotta let us in on the "issues" here. oh, if Alan hasn't jumped on another bike yet you might go next door where they have over 200 bikes at Dream Cycles.....nice people to boot.

What the hell is a "Moto Guzzi"? [laugh]
Thought this thread was about your Guzzi rusting up and how to go about getting it clean! [laugh]
Stuart Rust dba Rust Restoration 817-899-6261 2810 Bryson Road Mansfield, TX 76063
East on I-20, South on 287, west (right) on Turner Warnell, left on Bryson... at least from Dallas.
What the heck is wrong at RPM? Enlighten us.
By the way, I did not know Stuart had a dyno. Hmmmm, very interesting. [thumbsup]
Cool. Thanks for the number fastwin [thumbsup]

Yes, well the details, I suppose, would help make some sense out of this mess... [laugh]
Alan and I traded bikes so he's got the Guzzi now and I've got the Sprint (I didn't have enough legroom on the Guzzi and the bars were too low; nothing that couldn't be fixed in the after-market for a grand or so [bang] But when Alan rode it, he had no issues at all and really loved it, so we traded bikes).
ANYWAY, he's had the Guzzi now for about a month but last Sunday he cruised out to Muenster. Half way home the thing started leaving a trail of oily smoke about a mile long - oil all over the engine case, his boots, rear tire... You name it, the shit was everywhere.
Bad Guzzi, BAD!
He had it towed to RPM because they're the ones we bought it from and they’re a Guzzi dealer. (Alan had wanted them to look at it anyway because the Power Commander needed some tweaking - 'nother helping of ethanol, anyone?)
On Friday when he called to see when he could pick it up, they said they hadn’t even looked at it because there had been some "unexpected events" take place in the shop. (This is no doubt the prequel to, "A Series of Unfortunate Events." Look for it in theaters soon!)
Now our experience with RPM has gone back three years and some 50k miles with Alan’s Triumph and they have always been quick, communicate well, and have been really affordable but this latest “unexpected†what-ever-it-is has really thrown a wrench (or “spannerâ€) in the works for them…
SO! If Stuart wants to work on a cranky “old†Guzzi, we’d love to send him some bid-ness. And there is a real sense of urgency here because if the damn thing doesn't get fixed quick, Alan is going to want his Triumph back!
Hmmmm, puzzling evidence for sure. Sounds suspicious. I never like to hear the words "unexpected events". The last one I had involved a large bird. :P
Let us know if you get in touch with Stuart and if he is willing to lay his healing hands on the sick Guzzi. Puking oil all over the place is bad juju for sure. Replace bad juju with good juju. [thumbsup]
Will do. Thanks for the replies [thumbsup]
Last time i was there, 2 weeks ago he didnt have a dyno but if he got one Cool!!!! More power to him because he DOES knows about Motorcycles more than anyone else...
Call Dean about tunning Lisa.
[thumbsup]
Stuart does NOT have a dyno...
Well then, there you have it :-X
You might want to check with him though he does seem to have access to one.

Apparently things move fast here in the city, unlike in Taos. We really are in a different space/time continuum. It makes sense. The population of New Mexico was 1,984,356 as of June 2008. DFW was at 6,300,006 in July 2008 :o Taos? 31,546 [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]
With the difference in the speed of time between these two areas, you may find it necessary to call a week ahead of time to give us yesterdays information.
Stuart has access to one, but he definitely doesn't have one in his ol' garage
I want a dyno.
Me, too. um, what's a "dyno"? :D
