Hey everyone! Figured it's time to join the forums, I go tomorrow to pick up the bike I have lusted after for three years now - an '05 Monster 620! I found this one and sold my 2000 Katana on the same day so it worked out perfectly! I won't be sleeping much tonight, I am amped! Here's a pic of the Old and the New:
My Kat, which I loved. Painted her pearl white, coated the wheels gold (after this pic was taken), had some custom GSXF graphics made. I'm a little guy so I always felt like I was wrestling this big, heavy thing around. Rode great but at a stop and slow speeds I was not as comfy as I should have been. Anyway...

And the replacement! I was really sad to list the Kat for sale until I found this. ;)

I'm sure you'll find the Duc a lot easier to maneuver. [thumbsup]
Looking forward to reading more updates. :)
Nothing ever goes 100% as planned I guess...
My buyer was supposed to contact me early yesterday morning but I haven't heard from him and his phone is off. What a buzzkill! Luckily the Monster seller is going out of town for a few days and has removed his for sale threads, so I have a few days to get a hold of this guy and get my money before the Monster is relisted and possibly sold from under me. I was all excited for yesterday now I'm just in a sour mood. >:(
Sorry to hear that, good luck, fingers are crossed. :-\
Thanks!
I did go ahead get the bike yesterday! I got a small loan for the time being, then when my Katana sells I'll pay it off. I couldn't let this Monster slip away. [moto]
I'm so glad I started out on another (larger) bike. I appreciate this one so much more. The Duc fits me perfectly and I really fell like I can toss it around the way I should be able to! Can't believe the handling difference between them... I mean I expected it of course but wow. I'll have to post pics of them side-by-side - the Kat is HUGE! The only downside is riding 2-up isn't as comfy. My wife and I took a short ride last night and she kept asking if I was trying to buck her off! I think the throttle is a lot more responsive and with the low-end torque (and lack of tail and grab handle behind her) she was a little concerned. ;D
We both love the bike though, and I'm excited to start MODDING! [thumbsup]
You can get a few things for her.....

Or "love handles" ;) (make sure you have a shoemaker sow/tighten the straps so they have no slack/movement as seen in this picture)

Congrats, glad to hear you're enjoying it!
Looking forward to hearing your updates.

[laugh] Awesome thanks for the reco's. My 12-year-old son loves riding with me too so I need to invest in some of those handles. You sat in the Katana... you sit on the Monster.
