I just got through installing the XBi2. The installation was pretty straight forward. The only tool I didn't have was a precision phillips screwdriver which I needed for a tiny screw. The mounting bracket is slip fit. It's just a friction clamp holding it onto the helmet. I hope it stays put.
I'm still messing around with the placement of the speakers and microphone. It's not "permanently" attached yet.
Pairing to my 3G iPhone was a piece of cake. It was really fast. Yes, it does stream music to the XBi2. That's a big plus for me. I read a review online and said that it couldn't stream. I guess they worked it out.
Initial impressions:
1. Speaker volume is okay. It could be a way louder.
2. Sound quality is flat (expected really from the speakers they use).
3. Every you turn the unit on, it dials the last number you called. It's a known "problem". Be ready to end the call quick when turning on the XBi2.
4. A hiss/electronic hum is heard through the speakers during phone use. I'll see if it does it on a full charge.
5. As stated, yes it streams music from iPod on the iPhone.
6. I called my friend sitting on my bike with it running. Granted I wasn't at speed he said he could hear me fine. I'll test it out when it stops raining. [bang]

You could always cut off the useless headphones and re-splice in a $30 pair of Sony earbuds. [thumbsup]
I tried the Parrot SK4000 bluetooth headset to stream music from my iPhone but ran into problems. I'd get skipping/dropouts due to (what I think is) electrical interference. It would only happen when I was sitting on a running bike.
Does the XBi2 suffer from any interference problems?
I noticed yesterday that the music cut in and out a few times. Don't know why. :-\
I got the same problem on my GMRS X1 with bluetooth. My tunes will cut out and sometimes the cut out is accompanied by a loud pop. Been having trouble finding a contact number for tech support at chatterbox.

make sure the speakers line up with your ears. I found that mine did not on my GMRS and once I repositioned them, volume was plentiful.
