...Bluetooth helmet. Anyone hear about or see this thing first hand? Made by O'Neal?

Price seems pretty good and my phone, ipod and GPS all are blue tooth so it would serve the purpose...
looks nice, but with bluetooth can you get more they just two helmets in the channel for chatting?

Actually I just posted this in another thread but different site. This site is cheaper.
But go to http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/38/17571/ITEM/Element-Fastrack-Bluetooth-Solid-Helmet.aspx (http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/38/17571/ITEM/Element-Fastrack-Bluetooth-Solid-Helmet.aspx) and they have a video. Plus, from what I read, I believe you can use it to communicate with other helmets as well.

I met a guy that had one. Looked spiffy. I don't believe that the bluetooth on that helmet is intended for bike-to-bike communication like how a Scala works. I think it's intended for phone, music or gps pairing. Yes, there are some units that will let you do up to 3 using bluetooth. Actually, the Scala is the only one that I can think of that does this. It does it by using a different bluetooth channel for each headset I think. The best option for linking multiple bikes is a chatterbox GMRS unit (expensive) or just getting a GMRS radio that you can plug into a separate headset.
OH really? Hmm, interesting. I'm really contemplating about getting this. But I don't know about the build quality. One of my buddies said the only thing he'd trust for less than 280ish is Scorpion and then hfc (sp). So I really don't know. I would use this for pairing it to my phone, and would have to upload songs onto my phone so then I can play them through the unit.

Ah, the age old question of helmet price vs. safety. Research on your own and make your opinions. Don't just take what your buddy says and make it a rule. Also, I think he meant HJC.
Oh, someone asked about bike-bike and I said this helmet probably didn't have it. Supposedly it does. I read somewhere that it could be able to do up 5 but when it's only using bluetooth I don't think it'll reach far enough for 5 bikes unless you're all huddled up at a light. The link in the OP says communicate between 2. I dunno. I wouldn't count on it for more than rider to passenger if it even has that.

Yes I get ya, I will do some more research and hopefully it'll give me some more insight. Oh, and yes it was HJC. It was what he said, but I just couldn't remember the name.
