Just picked up a 09 696 so far I've only put about 100km on it. Here in Canada I've only got, at most, a month of riding left. It's going to be hard to put her away for the winter :-[ It's great to be riding again after so long, bit more traffic these days and a lot of those idiots are texting on their way to work :o
Welcome to the DMF and congrats on your 696! [thumbsup]
We'd love to see pictures of your bike if you have any to share.
Whereabouts in Canada are you located? I'm guessing not the west coast. ;)
Wow fellow Canadians , yeah where do you live , we are looking for members to join our Vancouver DMC , please join us if you live around Vancouver .. [clap]
welcome! make the most out of your last month on your new bike.
I'm in Edmonton If I make it out to the coast I'll look your club up.
It's not that far , and you are always welcome !! [thumbsup]
Welcome to the DMF, fellow Canadian! Please come over the Rockies and visit Vancouver. Lots of great twisties close to here and across the border in Washington. Enjoy the board and ride safe. [moto]
Welcome! And welcome BACK!!!
I too am returning to riding...21 years for me. Back in the day (my last bike was a 1982 GPz750), I dreamed of owning a Ducati some day. When I decided to get back to bikes (thanks Ewan and Charlie!), I began shopping for the usual Japanese rides, thinking I couldnt afford even a decent used Duc. Well, during my search, I came accross a sweet 06 S2R8 right at the upper limit of my budget, and if all goes well, it will be in my garage this coming Sunday. My "hair on fire" days are way behind me, but I plan on having a good time on "Mo" (not even mine and I named it already...yes, I'm a dork), as a commuter ride (I have a nice 4 mile twisty bit on my way to and from work), and a Sunday sportster. Between the bike and my scuba diving, my girlfriend will never see me!!
Say hi to Mo...
