My rear brake pads are shot. Is it easy to change them myself? I like to learn new things, but I have a low tolerance and no time for major fix-it-yourself headaches right now.
yeah should be easy cheesy cakey
Not hard at all, provided you have a bleeder and a one-way valve. I can show you sometime if you want.

Cheese cake is way harder to make then changing your brake pads. I shouldnt take more than 30 min - 1 hour

Tim, if I can do it, you can do it. Trust me. ;)
Y'all are awesome! Thanks for all of the offers. Any recommendations on a local shop that sells brake pads?

Desmoto usually has a supply of EBC pads, although I don't know how many rears they sell.

They've been good at getting rear pads for me. But make sure you get the right ones for your caliper.
BTW - Tim floated the idea of making a video on how to do this. I'm not exactly the right person to make the video, but I know how to get the job done. Maybe we do a wrenching clinic with duckwrench sometime and let him be the YouTube star?
ACE Motorsports was supposed to be ordering some more EBC rear brake pads, I bought some fronts form them and they said they were expecting some rears shortly.
Desmoto is out :'( It looks like I will order some online instead. No changing brake pads tomorrow for me.

You could always call that other shop.
I always feel like that other shop thinks that they are doing me a favor by selling me stuff. I would rather give someone else my custom.
the ebc dealer is here at the track, i could check.

Pretty sucky conditions for racing today, eh?
Tim -
Just got into my toolbox and I have some EBCs. They may or may not fit, depending on the type of caliper you have.
If you dont have to take your bracket in to you machinist to have a Helicoil put on. Should be a 30 Min affair.
Have a C Clamp available to squeeze the piston back.
