Title: 8/29/2009 Cresson MSR RideSmart
Post by: Samsonite on August 27, 2009, 01:06:19 PM
Carlo and I will be at Cresson for Ridesmart Trackday.  Anyone else going?
I think Red might be there too...  And Tye (with a few of his friends) from TOB

I'm signed up and will be taking the RV and trailer to the track tonight to get set up. Planning on setting up next to Tye and his group he has been tracking with for several years. We will lash the Ez-Ups together. That way someone will always be in the paddock to watch the gear.

I will be riding in the level one group to start and hoping to move up to level by days end. I've signed up for the video as well.

T give me a call so we can hook up for trailering. Carlos pm me with your phone number so we can hook up at the track or whenever. I may take the grill for hot dogs or burgers at lunch. I will have the RV 'stocked' too...wink wink nod  nod  [thumbsup].

Red, call my cell whenever is convenient for you.  Water and Gatorade fosho... But they usually always have free dogs and burgers at lunch time.  I'll take a few protein bars and Gatorade, but that's about it....  They have free bottled water too

Trust me, if you start level 1, you will want to finish the day in level 1.  They have a class between every session, so you are continually learning.  Same goes for level 2, but if switch in the middle, you could miss out on valuable learning...  So, stick with where you start... You'll be happier, and if next time you want to run L2, do it on your next trackday.  I'll call and see if I can change my registration to L1 and I'll run with you [thumbsup]

Good call T. I'll stay in L1 for tomorrow and see how things progress. This will be a shake down weekend anyway to see how things go.

Good vids man! I wish I had gone. I need to do a trackday again soon  [bang] [bang] [bang]

If I may say so, I think you would be a lot smoother if you rev-matched when downshifting. It'll make the bike be more settled when you're setting your corner entry speed.   :)

I had so much fun at this track day it's a crime I'm not doing again today! This actually was my first track day. I got videoed but do not have the vid as of yet. My GoPro was set to pictures not video D'oh! Anyway, T showed me the ropes and gave great pointers. It was great to see Carlo again too. I will be doing many more track days this year.  [moto]

Bummer I missed it.

MSR Cresson is such a flowing track. Not as technical as ECR. IMHO.

I look forward to riding there again.
