Just wondering how long some of you have had to wait for your brand new bike to arrive. The sleepless nights are already haunting me (15 and counting).
It's getting to a point where I'm gonna have to visit dealers to pretend I am buying a bike so I can get a test ride just to feed my longing fix.
Oh where are you my precious!!!!!????? ???
So they have given you no idea?
Jukie's was a couple of months from memory. Mine was out the back before I bought it ... I waited a week.
Mine also was out the back and I waited 5 days......
But worth the wait..... [moto] [moto] [moto]
So all I can say is "get used to the waiting" cause there is lots more waiting times to come as you patiently wait for the bling to arrive..... ;D ;D
A couple of months!!!!! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Don't know what you are talking about ... what is this bling you speak of?
the answer is always the same: Too Bloody Long
enjoy it when you get it...what is it?
696 with termi system. I believe the pipes have arrived, just no bike.
Perhaps i could just strap the pipes onto my belt and run around maiking broom broom noises.
Oh you poor thing - I feel your pain. :'( You have to learn patience with Ducati shops Grasshopper. Took me 3 months to get mine back when it needed a new back wheel.
Yes hang round the bike shop and go on test rides to feed your new addiction, but bugging them won't make them give you your bike any faster (speaking from experience).
Welcome to OzMonsters too. [thumbsup]
Haha aint that the truth. I own and currently ride a 20year grey import. Full of bugs. Patients I know. Like waiting for the wife to come pick me up on the side of the road in the p1ssing rain. Like waiting for the wife to pick me up in the middle of the night. Like leaving the thing on the side of the road and walking home. So patience with old bikes no problem. Patience waiting for new bike - Yes very much a young grasshopper.
Time to pray to the Ducati gods maybe.
Hey Justo,
Your patience will be rewarded soon enough.

The pain is worth the wait, and it will make him stronger to deal with the day to day with Ducati ;D
Owning a Duc is good practice for being in a relationship with a woman!! [evil] [roll] ;D [cheeky]
Ya gotta learn patience, things will happen for no good reason, it will seem that you are the target of a shitty attitude, and things will happen when the bike (? [thumbsup]? )is good and ready to let it happen and not before! Regardless of the amount of sweet talking, cajoling and bribery. [laugh] [clap] [bow_down]
Oh, and spend vast sums on their appearance and not get so much as a "Play with me" if you please. [evil]
I await the response from the ladies that is sure to follow. [beer] [laugh] [cheeky]
Where is that blowing raspberrys emoticon.
You love us all really Dragon. :-*
yes Dragon you couldn't live without me and story time [bow_down]
I ordered my S2R 800 in August, took delivery in Mid December, that was Painful
But think of this way, it's more time to spend on this Forum asking questions and learning about Maintenance, good suppliers and effective Mods.
That's what I did while waiting for my S2R, so the day my bike arrived, I took it home and started Modding before the engine even had time to get cold!
And it's fun also hanging around here chatting with this bunch of Crazies! [cheeky]

I bought a Tshirt the other day with this on it:
I think Paranoid people are Following me!!!
Oh yes, I'm normal [cheeky]

Of course, how rude of me. off to do that now.
As for enjoying the wait and using this forum instead. pffft. You may rather spend your time in forums while the sun is shining, but id much rather be on the road riding. Sure the forum is great, but only to make the work day go quicker and get the biking fix. [coffee] Apart from reading what flubber and of course informative banter gets dribbled here. Very funny and Good times!

[clap] [cheeky] I like your sense of humour Justo. You will fit right in around here.
Whereabouts do you intend riding said mistress when you eventually get her?
At this rate. From my retirement Village where I will end up to Bowls. (I'm 33 now). Mahaha.
Seriously though, predominately commuting to work. 20km run either direction. I live in the northern Suburbs of Sydney so my main purpose is to get to work. But its not gonna stop me from hitting the black on weekends and letting the wind blow through my (probably by then, grey hairs).

I think the boy needs some context for that one Dock.
Oh buggar another NSW'person. Jukie gets all the new boys (and girls) to play with. Not fair [bang] Suppose I have to wait a bit longer for some semblance of summer to reach us down here in Vic before anybody in this state will be out and about on their new steeds.
And Justo, at 33 you are one of the youngsters on this board. :-*
Had I known there were so many biker chicks, sorry, biker ladies on here I most definately would have been on here much earlier than the "young" age of 33. [evil]
so Justo Betty and i are on the Central Coast and Big T is near you too so whenever you wont to go for a ride just put a thread up.

Mate, you're lucky it stayed 'on track' for a page! that's respect! I had one gone in 2 comments once. Bloody degenerates...it's why I spend all my time over at DML with.......no one bloody else! ;D
Haha. Nice 1 spider. I might resort to locking my own thread. But knowing me I'll go off track, get in an argument with myself then resort back to the jelly pool. Such a vicious sticky predicament.
So seriously some of you lot really waited 3 months for delivery on the new bike. That's insane. does luigi ride them out to oz from bologna himself stopping at every damned pizza bar on the way???? Mamma MIA!!!!
So, A Quick Recap of the topic thus far.....
Spider is jelly wrestling George Michael, While Heather sits outside the wrestling ring waiting to Horsewhip what is left of Spider once George Michael is "finished" with him.
Meanwhile Justo will keep waiting for his bike....
Have I got that right so far?

And if that doesnt give me away, i'll also be in the pink too-too and flouro legwarmers. What?!!.. doesnt everyone dress like this on Sundays?!!

Tre sonni più
So pickup is on Friday. Hip hip hooray.
I was just told that they cannot install the Termis until the first service becuase "It is legislation that a bike must leave the premises with standard pipes as per the emisions laws". I'm new to all this and would love to know your thoughts...
I trust them, but it just sounds a bit weird....
That is true, they don't like to send them out with pipes etc....
Also it's a first service thingy, just don't let them tell you it will take 3-4 hours to fit the pipes.
A full system should take a good spanner spinner 1-2hrs tops.
And if they let you do it yourself you'll learn more about your bike and how it goes together.
Great. thanks for that. Very comforting. [thumbsup]
I negotiated the free fitting with the price so basically they have automatically got my first service business too I suppose (Not that I'm complaining - they have been great, Especially with my pesky "is it ready yet, is it?" calls for the last 5 weeks.).
I also plan on the 14T sprocket then as well. I'm just going to take the positives out of it all and I'll appreciate the upgrades more after riding stock 1st.
Hell I am just happy to be riding!!!
2 more sleeps!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

So two scenarios spring to mind:
. bike is already due for its first service, or
. doesn't exist
Ha ha. The First one is so close to the truth it's scary. Photos on Monday. Not that there is anything out of the ordinary as it's all stock at the moment. Pipes & 14T ready to install. Then a few other things.....
Luuuuuuurve the new smell though. Wish it could be bottled I'd wear it as cologne!
Glad it's in your hands now Justo.
If you're out riding today pop into the Concourse to show it off.
Or if you have the time come along next Saturday when we get out to Bathurst.
