it is and for whatever reason he only did 10 laps in this session
Hopefully it dries out tomorrow. I've had enough of wet races this year in Motogp.

yeah, but a wet race in GP is different than a wet race in WSBK....especially since they do 2 races and you got bunch of "crazy ridin in the wet" Brit racers.

Or was he just laying out due to having a good setup, and not wanting to pile laps on for little benefit?

I snagged the results from superbikeplanet.com. I think they reported the results as soon as they happened, but I still don't get why they called it "possible". Or maybe they missed the part where those two bashed into one another and then Haga fell down?
:'(
Much as I want Haga to win this year, he f'ed up and any racer in WSBK would have done what Rea did including Haga himself.
I guess Spies caught a break.
caught a break? Carma for all the BS he's had to deal with all year long.
Rea, Haga.....Haga knew he was there, leaned in on him to let rea know he was there and lost it.. 9.99/10...it would have been fine but this time, not so much.

I disagree...you look at the line through 1 that Haga was consistantly taking through 1 and the line that the Honda's were taking which pushed signifigantly wider and you see exactly why they tangled...I think if Rea had had a lap of observation of seeing Haga's line through 1, he mighta thought about that move and is quite frankly lucky that he didn't go down himself...he pushed his luck seriously...
i think you can argue that one 'til the cows come home. Racing Incident.
funny comment from steve martin: something like, well that's fair.. fabrizio took out spies, someone took out haga. even.
and, caught a break? [laugh] so then what happened in race 1, haga was feeling charitable?

i meant he caught a break with respect to having had shitty luck earlier this season. He was due.
ohhh.. ok. misunderstood you. :)
Just when things start to look up for Spies this season, something always goes wrong. I fully expect The Ben's front wheel to spontaneous combust at the start of next Race 1. Then he'll go out and win Race 2 by one and a half minutes. Nori will unassumingly get first in Race 1 and second in Race 2. Result? Nori will take back the championship lead.
