Just wondering if anyone here has one and what they think of it for riding in the warm weather.
I know it is pricey with the Ducati name on it, but is it worth having otherwise?

Anyone know if these are water resistant or what would happen in a down poor, would it get ruined?

Why would anymore make an armored motorcycle jacket that could get ruined in the rain?

Is the sarcasm really necessary?
A good friend of mine has one of these. Appears to be pretty good quality. Vents well, but not as well as some of the true mesh jackets, like the Rev'it Air that I use. And no, it won't die if it gets rained on ;)
This jacket would be used in the Phoenix, AZ area. I am not that worried about rain. LOL
I wouldn't be looking at mesh or air fabric jackets anyways if I was looking for something that would keep me totally dry in the rain.
Just looking for a different warm weather jacket and thought it be cool to have a Ducati brand. Just wanted to know if they are well made.

Since I live here in Phx AZ I can tell you that it's an OK jacket, it looks good, but doesn't strike me as one that's worth the money. Now that summer is over, it would be alright to wear but you'd end up putting it in the closet before long since it's going to be too cool for it.
Ducati has some perfed lether jackets that are better made and breath better if you're looking for somthing to continue to wear with a fully removable liner.
Good luck [thumbsup]

For weather that's a little cooler I do have both an ICON Motorhead jacket and an ICON Strongarm jacket. Yes, I probably won't need a rush into getting a hot weather jacket now that the weather will start to get cooler.

That would be me. I can't really compare it to anything as it is my first jacket, but the quality seems to be very good. It does not seem to vent well in the shoulder area, but by nature that area must be pretty solid. It survived a lot of rain a few weeks ago and it did indeed dry without vaporizing.

Fantastic, thanks for that info (Especially the vaporising bit ;D), I feel A lot more comfortable shelling out for it now!
I tried that jacket on at the dealer and decided on the Dainese Zentex jacket. For me the fit was better and venting seemed better for the heat and humidity in central Florida.
Don't know if this is still relevant. I haven't tried this version but have used the previous version SummerTech and love it. It has the Keprotec fabric by Schaller (sp?) along with leather in appropriate places along with armor. I've got two know. The first was black/red and the new is black/black. You can still find them (ebay, etc.). I just bought a barely used one for $180. I highly recommend them.
I have this one, old pic from when I first bought it. Great jacket and works well in warm weather.
