Hoping to make it again this year.
I really, really want to go this year. It depends on whether my sister is coming into town. Let me check with her.

She can come too.
YOU NEED TO BE THERE! DON'T MAKE ME HANG OUT WITH EVAN AGAIN!!
WHY AM I SHOUTING?!
A friend of mine has been a builder for this for the last few years. He was hit last weekend in Pasadena and had a compound tib/fib fracture of his leg. I don't know if he had an entry this year or not. His lovely wife has been traveling back and forth to take care of him on weekends. They don't even want him moved too far yet.
Some jackass decided he was going to make a U-Turn from the far right curb across traffic and nailed him.

Sis would be coming to LA, so I would be going down there. If she were coming up here, she'd definitely be coming with me to this.
So I'm shouting so she can hear me? That makes no sense.

O'yeah - IN!
Who's coming from the eastbay?
I need a new t-shirt. I'm pretty sure Ev and I can join in on this for a little bit.
Yippie!
In.
Got a few obligations earlier in the day so I'll be there around 4.
I think we're planning on late afternoon as well. Hey, Jim, wanna swing by the house on your way in or are you just going straight there? We're riding over.
I am going to be heading up for this on Sunday. I don't know when I plan on leaving yet but this is what I think my ride up will look like:
Santa Clara to Dirtbag - The long way (http://"http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=37.339217,-121.938672&daddr=CA-17+S+to:CA-35+N%2FSkyline+Blvd+to:CA-35+N%2FSkyline+Blvd+to:CA-1+N%2FCasland+Dr+to:Quesada+Ave+%26+Griffith+St,+San+Francisco,+CA+94124&geocode=%3BFUxSOAIdrgG7-A%3BFaygOAIddlu4-A%3BFe_YOwIdGfW0-A%3BFewsPQId7pqy-A%3BFQ-rPwIdH6C0-A&hl=en&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=0&sz=15&via=1,2,3,4&sll=37.341776,-121.937685&sspn=0.027841,0.036693&ie=UTF8&ll=37.493384,-122.195435&spn=0.889111,1.174164&z=10")
Thinking 12-12:30 leave time from this Starbucks here. Maybe make a stop at Alice's or Mr. Mustard for a quick dog. If anyone was needing a reason to ride, here it is.
'belle, I'll get back to you but don't wait for me - like ya would. ecvjr. has a school thing that morning and Sparky's got someone from work coming over for dinner so I agreed to hang for an hour as long as they get there early enough.
Sidm - you move yet?

I wish I knew what you guys looked like so I could actually say hi at some even.
I got some great video of a few of the burnouts and some pretty good pics of a bunch of the bikes in the contest and the bikes there to hang out. Will post soon.
Enzo and I flaked out, but we saw your photos DAT101. Excellent! [thumbsup]
I had all intentions of going, but got shanghai'd into fishing.
After the winner was anounced people headed out but a few stuck around for more burnouts, etc. I was talking to my buddy Bill over by the portajohns while a guy was smoking his tire pretty well, I think it was an I-4 motor. Anyway someone throws a M-80 and when it went off the guy doing the burnout got spooked and somehow the bike gets away from him. He was on the side where the bikes were displayed, shoots out toward the street cutting diagional across the parking lot, makes it between two of the hydrobarriers and slams into some parked bikes and a minivan; motocarnage. The guys was ok but you want to talk about lucky! I can't believe no one was hurt and that it doesn't happen more often. I do believe my buddy got it on video and so watch this spot.
[laugh] Awesome
Damn! Any pics?
There was one guy doing "burnouts" in the driveway near where I was parked. He looked like he didn't know what he was doing or his brakes were too crappy. I actually moved my bike back and stood between him and my bike.
Glad to hear everyone was OK.
While leaving, I noticed 5-6 cops up the hill watching the action. Glad they didn't come down and bust people.
yeah, lots of cops this year. I left soon after the wreck but there were still 100+ people around and the ass-hatery will in full bloom. The guy with the trike was blasting up and down the street and I thought he'd hit something.
When we left, it was right after a big group (a bunch of rat HDs). I told my buddy to hang back a bit until they were a block away before we took off so as to not get caught up in that.
