I'm going to try and hit at least two track days before the end of the year. I want to get more comfortable on my bike (get more consistent results from myself, which is hard to do when I do ONE measely track day a friggin' year [bang]
SOOOO, I'm going to skip on ECR for now and just focus on the track I know; MSR.
I'm also looking at a track-day only bike - might get that going fairly soon - so I'm looking forward to see all o' y'all at MSR [thumbsup]
I might be able to head to one or two of the ones in November (have to travel a lot in October). I'd be attending as "pit crew" just to see what the tracks and facilities are like. I haven't been to a track yet in Texas!

same. wanna get into it.
well lets ride out there. I've been to Barber a bunch to help out. If its like Barber, you don't really want to walk around, since you can just ride all over the pits area. also, i'm definitely bringing my camera, since the riders obviously can't take pictures of themselves. (also, i will drool in the general direction of tommy's 900)
We'll be at ECR tomorrow. You're welcome to ride out and check it out. Lol, it's no Barber though. Comparing the the two, Barber is the new Cowboys stadium, Eagles Canyon is a small college field... But I really enjoy ECR though...
You can mark me down for at least two per month. I'm doing one with Jeff on Thursday if weather permits. Also I'm planning on the late Sept (27th?) @ MSR with RideSmart. I'll pick up one or two of those members days.
Folks if you think the cost of doing track days is a factor consider the cost of a mistake on the street .
See you @ the track. :)
GO TECH!

Was it a fun track day? ;D
Had a really good time, I took my son Jade with me and he seemed to really enjoy watching me. I spent 2 sessions Following Jduc on her 749R, cool bike! I bet it sounded pretty cool when the 2 of us came out of turn 11 and hammered it down the front straight in front of the paddock are... I have a little bit of video I'll post up later. Carlo was awesome company and awesome to try and chase around the track. I learned a lot yesterday, and I cant wait for my next run... [thumbsup]
What I need to work on at the track:
Being more consistent... I need to clean up my lines and stick to 1 line and try and hit it everytime.
I have a really hard time looking through the corner, my head may be pointed in the right direction, but my eyes are fixated on 20-40 ft in front of me, and I feel that's a major hurdle I need to overcome.
I got really good at down shifting under heavy braking (which there is a lot of at ECR) so my bike is more under control as I'm entering the turn.
This is me chasing Jduc on her 2005 749R! Hell of a rider since she's only had it a couple weeks and only her 2nd track day with it. She had been tracking a SS like mine. Why would anyone want to upgrade.....LOL!

Session 4 I was averaging 2:30 a lap, by session 6 I was averaging 2:24 a lap. I was definitely getting quicker throughout the day

The "weekend" AMS and Motopia days are on there. Post up the ESC track day and I'll update the list.
I will be at MSR Cresson this Sunday, anyone else going besides me and Carlo? Spectators? Riders? Umbrella girls? [cheeky]
i should be able to attend as an err.. umbrella girl. My wife wants to see what this is "all about" and why I won't quit talking about it.
But i'm out of commission for even short rides right now, as the doc had to slice me on Tuesday.. on the cheek. sooner lefty heals, the sooner i'll be on two wheels again.
ummm.... please dress appropriately :P lol
Look forward to seeing you there [thumbsup]
Had a great day today at MSR Cresson. Glad to finally meet Rene and the Motopia group, and I'm excited about future track days with them. I'm really getting comfortable on the 900Sport and my times are definitely improving. After only 7 trackdays (3 at Cresson) my time at Cresson is 1:35. Not quite Carlo or Rene's pace, but definitely a great pace for my experience level. I honestly believe if I rode more disciplined and less lazy on my shifts and tucks on the straights, that I could shave a few seconds off that. Alex, great to see you and your friend out there today. I really hope to see you on the track soon. [thumbsup]
Another good day at MSR Cresson today. Only got 2 30 min sessions due to rain, but they were good sessions and was in good company [thumbsup]
ECR next Sunday if anyone is interested.....
I was hoping the rain would hold off enough for a good day at the track [moto]
