Just received my SparX S-07 Corsa from Compacc ($79!) and it's really nice! Based on what I have seen from trying on different lids, I'm guessing the helmet is made by the same factory that makes Scorpion's. Great finish and attention to detail...the removable liner looks better than the fixed one in my RF1000. Fit is snug and some glasses my prove difficult to wear with it.
The helmet matches my red/white S2R perfectly, though I would be happier if it didnt have the checkered strip down the middle, or the sorta-goofy logos on the back. I ordered a set of silver DUCATI PERFORMANCE stickers that should match the silver "SPARX" on the side, and I'm sure I can put a small Ducati Corsa shield somewhere.
WebBike World gave the S-07 a very good review.

Would look so much better without that checkered stripe.
made by KBC actually....
(I have one too and like it)
KBC then! Since I dont care much for the checks as well, I've been giving some thought to covering them up, but the problem is that the strip is not solid white but a pearl finish. I might be able to find a similar color in the adhesive backed film they use in R/C flying models. To get an idea of what it might look like, I covered the checks with 3M decorative tape, took a photo, and sort of blended it in.
The visor decal is also 3M vinyl deco tape with thin pin-stripe tape for the black, finished off with a tasteful Corsa shield. Something I might try is covering the black pin-stripe with bright green.

Nice!
I have that exact helmet.
I paid exactly $0 for it.
SparX sent it to me fo' free.*
*After I crashed wearing a Retro Classic that I had registered via their website. I sent them the helmet and a photocopy of the police report from my crash, along with a note asking for the Retro Corsa instead of the Retro Classic. Three weeks later, a shiny new helmet showed up.
Fits me like a glove.
Have you thought about maybe using a strip of 3M Scotchlite tape to cover the checkerboard? It might not match the color exactly, but it'll make you a WHOLE LOT more visible at night.

Gotta be easier ways to score a helmet dude... [thumbsup] Kidding of course! Very cool of Sparx to back up their helmets like that. Got to remember to register mine.
The Scotchlite is a brilliant idea!!!! It has a metallic/pearly finish and one should be able to lay it down smooth with some heat and delicate application of a craft knife...thinking of the whole stripe, not just the checked bit. The place I bought my reflective wheel stripes from has sheets of material available. Will try it out and post results here. I like the red/white scheme so much that I'm considering painting my yellow RF1000 the same way.

I know, right? ;)
But yeah, register the helmet. Hopefully you'll go the whole 5 years without having to "cash in" the one you've got, but if you register it, your helmet will replace itself if you need it to.
I ordered white reflective sheet. Also ordered a sheet of red because I have some DUCATI decals in silver that will look beeter on the side of the lid than the Sparx lettering. Apply the DUCATI decal over red reflective, trim as needed, apply over the Sparx. Will post later.

Oooh... [popcorn]
I wanna see this.
Update.
I ordered and received the "white" and red reflective material, and the silver DUCATI stickers. I put the white in quotes because it's actually a silvery grey and is much darker than the pearly white on the helmet stripe. Covering the checks with this material is no longer an option. I might sit down and cut out a series of small squares and cover up the individual black checks (I am a former professional model builder and used to do this sort of shit all the time).
The silver DUCATI on the red reflective material came out a bit better, though the silver is a tad dark and doesnt "pop" as much as I had hoped. I am going to try it again, but using white DUCATI stickers. I took a few pictures but they are total crap and not worth posting.
Some notes on the helmet itself: The pieces that make up the cheek pads are a little weak...one is showing fraying probably caused by my chronic 4-day stubble, and the other does not like to stay tucked in at the rear pad. Other than those, it see,s to fit just fine. Wore it for 230 miles the other day and had no hot-spots. It does fog a bit in the morning...I covered up the brow vents on the visor so those may help keep things clearer.
Update
Done for now. Went with bigger, older style (Cagiva era) DUCATI script on the sides and added a reflective Republica Argentina sticker on the back. A bit naff maybe, but I'm from Argentina and my initials are RA so it works for me.
I'm seriously considering painting my yellow RF1000 in a similar, but more "ideal" scheme. But that will be a few months from now.
Cheers!

That looks fantastic!! [thumbsup] [beer]
Thanks!
The stickers came with the little Cagiva elephants, but I cut them off. If I had a bike from that era, I'd have left them on or located them somewhere else on the lid.
