Just got this short beer tray from a local ducati dear here where they have a inventory clearance. just wondering if anyone has a picture of how it looks like on the bike. it's pretty well made with brush aluminum finishing. It's a complete tail with lights and plate bracket.

I believe that shift-tech (one of the sponsors here) has one that is carbon-fiber. It looks pretty good, my only grip is that it has the 4 mounting holes going thru the piece. I am thinking of trying to fab my-self up one. basically just shortening up the stock one and painting. I would really like to shorten the tail, but I do not want to get rid of it.
I also prefer to keep the tail, the tail chop looks great from the site but I don't like the look from top.
I think the bottom parts of the short tail are easy to fabricate but might be challenge on the top part as there are some curves.
I just finish installing the kit, it turned out beautifully. The mounting bolts actually added some characters IMHO.
I will post some pictures tomorrow.
Hi turbomonster,
Does that tail have mounting location for signals?
Does your dealer have more? If so, I may be interested.
I shortened my stock tail several years ago. It looked great, but this year started cracking because the modification weakened it. I repaired it with epoxy earlier this year, but it just broke again.
Here are the photos as promised.
1. The complete package, no instructions or company info.

2. Testing assemble, very well made pieces.

3. compare to old tail, about one inch shorter

4. installed picture, yes it comes with bracket for both tail and rear signal mount.

I am not sure if they still have any left but you can try to contact them, the dealer is MCC in IL.
it looks a little similar to the one MAS engineer made but not quite

It looks much better in person than from the pictures and the color blend very well with other aluminum part of the bike. I originally hat the look of the stock exhaust but now I kind like the whole tail. Very surprised such as small change can make to the look of the bike.
Thanks for posting the photos. Looks good.
It's not short enough for me. I shortened my stock one about 3" which included cutting the back part of the frame (right behind the forward pair of mounting holes). I may end up going with the full chop this time.
