We seem to be heading into some decent Fall weather now so... let's eat [laugh] Or more specifically, let's get everyone together for some Italian food at lunchtime on Friday October 16th, 1pm at I'Fratelli's - just south of 635 on MacArthur in the Los Colina's area.
Here's a link to the restaurant's location:
http://www.ifratelli.net/ristorante/location.htm (http://www.ifratelli.net/ristorante/location.htm) The restaurant is just south of 635 on MacArthur Blvd.
In the past we've had good luck with parking, etc. meeting at 1pm since most of the lunch crowd is already gone. And for those of you who may not have gone to one of these deals in the past, I'Fratelli's is friendly to what they enthusiastically term, "The Ducat People" [laugh] If we can give them an accurate headcount in advance, they'll have reserved a bunch of tables pushed together ready to go when we arrive.
Let's ride!

Too far for working people stuck in downtown but just right southern Oklahomans and upscale urbanites [laugh]. Try a [bacon] pizza!
Love the pizzas from iFartellis. Best crust around. [thumbsup] Wish I could go but ...see first line of post. :-\ :-[
You know I am up for this. [thumbsup] Any place that has a dish on the lunch special menu called "Monster Lasagna" is OK by me. Don't remember Fridays being the day in the past, was thinking it was Thursday... but it doesn't matter to me. Throw a day/date out there and we'll see who shows. Having no job certainly helps in the freedom department but I'd rather have a job. :P 1:00pm is better than noonish because that place can get packed, even at 1:00 it's still way busy! You are right about the service. They have always taken very good care of us and tend to recognize the Ducati name...
"Oh, it's you people again. How many this time?" [wine] [moto]
I soon hope to be able to make the Friday lunches again...
This should work out well for me. [thumbsup]
I'll check back with which date, but I bet any would
work.

Fastwin, the EUC (equivalent understanding coefficient) of TGspeak in this case is a 5 on a scale of 1-10, TG is always
ON meaning he is thinking way ahead of anyone else and gets to the third thought processing iteration before we hear the first. [laugh] [clap] [thumbsup]

The EUC in this instance is now a 7 being compounded by Samsonite addition to the previous reply by adding "sofa king" (a conjugated alteration of two words 'so' 'beastwithtwobacksing' ( [laugh] just thought I'd throw that in for Petros amusement) which was coined in the late '80's by a local NYC furniture outlet who was repremanded for his large print add campaign on the side of city buses using his slogan with those two words "You can be Sofa King comfortable on a Sofa King sofa" incorporated into the print ad. Creative albeit very crass.

So your'e thinking Italian... Ducati you say. Hmmm, I was thinking either Matchless G-50 or maybe Rupp mini bike for the 60s-early 70s folks. Ducatis... I know I put them somewhere. [bang] [laugh]
Maybe some of these will show

Well, if you put any faith in weather forecasts [bang] the rain will be gone by Thursday. Friday will be sunny with a high of 74.
Mmmmmm, Italian food [wine]
Hmm, too bad, I will be in that area in 2 weeks.
But y'all enjoy. Great pizza!!! [thumbsup]

I managed to get the Termis ( a.k.a. the MK-77 napalm exhaust canisters last used on the infamous raid on Muenster [laugh]) riveted back together and slapped back on the S4Rs this morning. They never looked better. In other words, they still look like hammered sh#t! ;D[moto]

So make that a table for nine, garcon. Or is that ten? I lost count.
I'm out, stuck in meetings today.
Just want to point out that the Triumph Demo truck will be at RPM this Friday and Saturday (10/16 & 10/17).
You'll be about 3 miles away after lunch.

Hot damn! I have the rest of the day off too!
Anyone up for heading over after lunch? [moto] Are you going Alan?
Oh yeah
Good times as always and a really nice turn out... lots of hooky playing from work. My lips are sealed, it's our secret!! After all the crummy weather we've had for two solid weeks I can't believe we didn't have half the place full of Duc riders playing hooky! What a beautiful day!! I've waited since April for a day like this. And the weekend weather looks just as good. Sweeeet!
For those hooky players that went to RPM for the Triumph test rides how about some info and details. Curious minds want to know!! Any down payments yet?? I was scared to go... there's a Speed Triple there with my name on it and I'm sure there's a state law saying I should never even see it!! Much less test ride it!! [bang] [moto] ;D
Anyway, great to see the gang today. Hope everyone made it home and back to work safely and I hope all of your "I know I'm late getting back from lunch" excuses passed with flying colors! [clap]
Awesome weather and turnout!! It was good to see
everyone. Dax really does have and ride a Duc :o
btw the G Bush tollway was like riding on an
airplane landing strip, that thing going south to
30 is awesome and it's not even finished [moto]
ah ehm, I have three Ducs >:( well, two I hope after this weekend.

Yeah, it was a great day to be out and about. The Triumph factory big rig was wedged in the back behind the RPM building and they had a huge selection of motos - all of the '09 models - often two or three of each. The rides were very professionally organized (once on the hour, every hour) and well managed with four Triumph folks riding herd on each group. Once we went out, we had about a dozen riders in our group.
The demo ride route was roughly 10 or twelve miles through the back roads around RPM. Lots of stop-n-go, uneven roads, railroad tracks, and the occasional 45 - 55 mph blast. It was the Friday of Texas/OU weekend so I-35 was a parking lot in both directions. I'm sure, originally, their route would have included highway time but it just wasn't happenin' that day [bang]
Our lunch group got there just as a group left so of the seven of us that went to RPM after I'Fratelli's, only four stayed around until the next ride group went out.
I won't spoil the fun by saying who stayed or who rode what, but a good time was had by all. I really enjoyed the Speedmaster (once I could consistently find the footpegs which were forward, roughly in line with the triples! :o ) and could see that bike being a mile-burning, all day touring thing in a laid-back, embrace your inner cruiser kind of way [laugh]
ANY-friggin'-WAY, those are the details [evil] We had fun, rode some bikes, stood around and shot the shit enjoying a sunny day. Doesn't get much better than that [moto]
Much coolness all around. [thumbsup] I really would like to have gone but had other duties. I would love to test ride a Speed Triple. I think those bikes rock. As I said in my earlier post I need to stop even thinking about it! [bang] The Daytonas are way cool but I might want to ride the little Speed Triple even more... or it's big brother! [moto] Where's Doug Jones when you need him? Wonder if he still has his Speed Trip? For that matter, where the hell is that guy?? ??? :P
Yeah, I bet the game/State Fair/Friday afternoon traffic really screwed up their demo ride plans. I'm sure AMS is glad they did their demo gig last weekend. Yesterday would have been a much better day to demo at RPM. Kevin and I did a Muenster/Doc's run yesterday and the weather was just awesome!! Love this time of year. Falling leaves blowing across the road, long shadows, crisp air... waited through a long hot (make that HOT!!) summer for days like that. [thumbsup]
